Decent, clean, quiet, recently updated...refrigerator noise bothered hubby's sleep, but otherwise a satisfactory stay. (Be sure to ask for a room as far away as possible from the monster cell phone tower located near the back of the building.) Had a great meal at nearby Marie Calendars; gas station and connections to I-5 (via the Westside Pkwy) were very convenient....

Recently stayed at this Red Roof Inn on Oak St and I really enjoyed my stay. The whole place was just remodeled and the room was great. I liked the location. It is right next to gas stations, restaurants/fast foods, and downtown Bakersfield. The staff/managers were nice and accommodating. The price is very affordable as well. I advise staying here.

They put a hold on my credit card because I paid in advance. They said they did not trust me but yet when they held my money I was suppose to trust them. The room was OK for the price but noisy garbage pick up at 6 AM.

I'm so sorry that Expedia did not explain our hotel policy to you when making the reservation. But when you make a third party reservation they (Expedia) charge your credit card and provide the hotel with a prepaid Expedia credit card which only covers room and tax. So, at check in we ask for a credit card from the guest...

Looking for a relatively inexpensive place to stay in Bakersfield? This may be it. This is a basic, no-frills motel, convenient to the west side of town. Pros: Clean; reasonably recent renovation; new(ish) furnishings; polite and helpful desk staff; adequate restaurant next door. Cons: New furnishings very Spartan; no amenities; thin walls (the neighbors got very noisy, but a call...

Thank you for your review. We're pleased to hear you liked our newly remodeled rooms and helpful staff. We have standard rooms that don't have many amenities for a great low price however we also have superior rooms that have all the amenities you may be looking for, such as a micro/fridge, iron, ironing board, hairdryer and coffee maker. Definitely the place to stay on a budget in Bakersfield. Good staff and excellent manageress. A pleasant change from the usual non-interest motels show guests. Easy location too, for all the major stuff.

We stayed here one night, it was ok to stay here. It was quite clean and modern. There was small minus- the room smelled a little bit and you can hear cars from the street, because it's located near the Main Street. But it was cheap and good value for money.

Thank you for your review. We pride ourselves in having clean and modern rooms and sometimes our cleaning products can have a strong smell. Our housekeepers do a great job in cleaning the rooms, but sometimes they can go a bit overboard. I will make sure this will not happen again. We also provide earplugs at the front desk if...

Four stars? So I stayed here. And yes, the rooms have been renovated, but very cheaply. And it is clean. Butt the room has an unpleasant smell, maybe cleaning products, I don't know. There is no refrig or microwave. The towels are thin and rough. The outside looks like a very budget hotel and is definitely in need of renovation....

This was easily the best and least expensive of three RRI properties that we stayed in on a cross-country trip that included our dogs. Our non-smoking room was quite large, clean and modern. There is a restaurant called Bootleggers adjacent.

We booked this place as we were just needing a place to crash for the night on our way to Disneyland. Check in was quick and the front desk staff friendly. While the rooms look to have been remodeled, it appears it was a cheap remodel as there is paint over-spray and some old items still. The beds were rock...

Thanks for your review! I'm a little confused about your review in which you stated some of the items in the room were old. Everything in the room is new, including the plumbing and electrical items. All the amenities are new as well. I'm sorry the beds were too firm for your liking, as they are new as well. We...
