Review for Unit #31 Stayed here for a long weekend to go snowboarding at Snow Summit. The price was right for a 2 bed/2 bath within 5 minutes of the slopes...but now I know why--this place is run down. I couldn't get the stove to light, my shower head spewed water onto the ceiling and over the shower door, there... More

It is unfortunate that this reviewer had an unpleasant experience. We have an on-site office which is open from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. to handle our guests' needs, but at no time during his stay did this guest report any problems to our office. We would have been happy to give him matches or any other supplies had we... More

We stayed at Boulder Creek Resort in Condo #3. We booked through their resort page and were happy to find a property that did not allow animals as my husband has allergies. We also had difficulty finding a property with at least 2 queen beds in each of the bedrooms as we were traveling with another couple. We stumbled upon... More

The owner of this condo has made this into a very comfortable unit, and it is unfortunate that this reviewer was not happy with it. It's true that some of the appliances have not been updated, but they work. This complex was built in the 1970s, so they have been around for awhile. They are privately owned, and upgrades to... Recently a friend told me about this waterfront resort located on the west end of the lake (less traffic on the quiet end of the lake) right next to a new public park which has direct beach access (great for us as we kayak). The condo was clean, cozy, comfortable and well decorated. We felt it was an amazing value... More

We stayed at HAVEN cabin, which is about 2 miles away from the Boulder Creek Condos. The condo provided us with the key to the swimming pool, so we were able to use the facilities too. The place was quiet, and nice. The kids could play fribsee or blow bubbles outside without having to worry about passing cars. We could... More

Thank you very much for your review - we really appreciate it. You are correct in that this cabin needs some furniture on the deck so the deck can be enjoyed. I had a set of chairs and a table, but they disappeared one day/night during a slow period when the cabin was unoccupied. I will replace them ASAP -... More

I came with my family and we were shown a very cute condo but wanted a lake view. We asked the manager, Jerri, if she had one with a view. She was so helpful and took us to #31. It was perfect. The interior was clean and the decor was cozy-cabin-feeling Big Bear. My family and I loved it. We... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Boulder Creek Resort is located two miles east of the dam on the south shore of Big Bear Lake. It is a complex of 50 privately-owned units of which about 20 are rented on a nightly basis. The condos are two-bedroom, two-bathroom units with full kitchen, fireplace, and an outdoor, common-area Jacuzzi (open all year) and swimming pool (open during the summer months), plus a common-area rec. room with a pool table. Each of the well-equipped condos has either a DVD player or VCR, and movie rentals are available in the office which is located on premises. The complex is located just a few hundred feet from the lake and the park where there is a fishing dock and picnic area. We are next to Blanca & Pierre's Restaurant and Boulder Bay Market, and the popular Castle Rock hiking trail is about a half mile down the road. In addition to the condos, we rent private cabins as well. Two of the cabins are located near Holloway's Marina & R.V. Park which is an excellent place to rent boats, take a tour on the Time Bandit pirate ship, try out the new wakeboard cable park, or purchase fishing tackle. Holloway's is also affiliated with North Shore Landing where you can rent boats and personal watercraft and hire a boat for waterskiing or wakeboarding. We also rent a chalet at the base of the Snow Summit ski area - a great place for outdoor enthusiasts during the winter for skiing or summer and fall for mountain biking or hiking. All of our units are privately owned, so although they have the same basic layout, the decor differs based on the owners' individual tastes. ... more   less
