We stayed here in July: warning: NO AC!! The room was hot as anything with only inadequate floor fans. The room continued to stay much hotter than the outdoors and we could not cool it down. Thin curtains that barely covered the windows. Extremely dark interior with inadequate lighting....no lighting at all on one side of the room where the...

Stayed in the Black Bear Cottage #4. It was clean and comfortable but not a very good heating system. Enclosed Gas space heater on a thermostat. The bathroom wall heater wasn't working so the bathroom was very cold. I dont think I would want to be in here when the temps get really cold. Bed was fine, clean linens. Kitchen...

Maybe we were just very unfortunate but our experience was horrible. We had a reservation for 2 nights in the room #2. Since it was a late arrival Sharon (the front desk person/owner I am not sure) gave me a call and told me that the heating will be on to make the room cozy by the time we get...

We needed to go up to Big Bear last minute for a meeting, but didn't realize a big car show was in town. Every hotel and lodge was booked... it was between Goldmine Lodge and Motel 6, and I am SO glad Karen at Goldmine Lodge answered the phone and offered us her last room, #2. Since prices between the...

We are so pleased with our weekend getaway at the Goldmine Lodge. Sharon, the property manager is so sweet. More businesses should take lessons from her on excellent customer service. She is so warm and inviting, she even bakes delicious homemade cookies for her guests. We will be coming back again soon. Thanks Sharon!!!!

Arrived at 1:30 am after a long week in Vegas. My key was waiting for me at office. Room on second floor was perfect. The decor was exactly what we needed, clean and comfortable. The property was well maintained and the whole weekend was worth the price. We will definitely be back again.

The setting is perfect! Woodsy, forested area, close to lake, slopes, shopping. They are kid friendly with large playground, swings, slide, badminton, bocce ball, horseshoe pits... Outdoor BBQ, outdoor spa, right under the starry skies! They are pet friendly too. Check out their website, Big Bear Lake is a very beautiful mountain resort town, it is the only all year...

When we arrived, the manager, Sharon, was very nice and even allowed us to check in early. The room was comfortable, cozy, and suitable for our needs. It was within walking distance to local restaurants and markets. If you're sensitive to outside noise, I would recommend bringing ear plugs, as the walls are thin & you can hear noises next...

I really didn't expect these cabins to be right on a busy street. Throughout the night, I could see headlights come thru the cheap, plastic blinds since there were no curtains on the windows. Bothered me enough that I told the comforter and pinned it to the window frame. Also, I've never slept on a harder mattress. The cabin needs...

We booked the "suite" through booking.com, believing to a description that says "cabin like accommodation". For $205 per night we got a motel apartment for 4 people, with the most uncomfortable sofa bed and the most creepy furniture you can imagine. The lady that manages the place is everything but nice. Stay away from this place!

“They have many types of accommodation: double rooms, suites with kitchens and living room, and cottages. Each room is decorated to a different mountain theme, we were told, We rented the interconnecting Cowboy suite and room, it sleeps 6, it was really nice. Our friends stayed in the large Bear suite that sleeps 6 too.”
