stayed in cabin #1 for 5 days during the first week of november and couldn't be happier. being a long time user and believer in trip advisor, i was only able to find this property after considerable research. not sure what "specialty lodging" exactly means, but this is where sleepy forest falls as far as categories goes. if you just...

We stayed in number 18 for three nights and loved it. I’ve been to Big Bear many times in the years I’ve lived in L.A. but a dear friend from Tennessee who had never been to California was with me this trip. I was happy to show here one of my favorite places in the world and Sleepy Forest was...

This charming place was our home for 4 days in September. We booked rather late, so ended up with a larger place than we were planning, Cottage 12 (the Farmhouse) which apparently can sleep 7 or 8. It is a 2 story cottage with a good-sized kitchen and decent-sized dining and living area. Throughout, a farm theme has been used...

Hi, thanks for the review! We are glad you enjoyed the old farm house. We always like to mention that we have many different size cabins and cottages, as well as some with gas fireplaces. The Farm House has the wood fireplace aroma in it, which many guests enjoy, and was recently remodeled. We look forward to seeing you again,...

Husband almost had to drag me to the car to keep us on schedule. Perfect place to go relax and just breathe. Rooms are cozy, beds comfy and tubs awesome. What could be better than relaxing in the bubbles with a fire in the fireplace? Stayed in 206 which has not had the carpet switched out for solid flooring, but...

Hello, thanks for the nice review! We are glad that you mentioned the flooring, as we are about half way through replacing all of our floors with nice new wood-flooring. We hope you can come stay with us again and try one of our renovated and remodeled cottages! Thanks, Josh P., Manager.

As this property is set back from the main boulevard it is really quiet. And given that these are cottages, few common walls exist to hear other guests; a treat. Nice friendly staff, clean and adequate accommodation with kitchenettes included. Our cabin was 205, detached, with only a shower but all amenities were there. Would stay here again and recommend...

It was my first time in Big Bear and I enjoyed our stay at Sleepy Forest. I found the cottage to be clean, nicely decorated, conveniently located: close to the lake, the village, but away from major noise. We stayed in room 214, which is a separate decent size cottage for two, has a really big jet tub, a fireplace,...

My partner and I arrived late to sleepy cottages and a map, letter (explaining everything) and keys were left in a box at the front of reception for us which was great. The cottage was clean and has a good comfy bed. The spa bath was great and u could turn the tv to watch movies. The reception staff were...

We stayed at the Farmhouse family cabin and not only was it clean and comfortable - it had all the little extras that other places don't seem to care about anymore! There were matching dishes, and mugs along with a drawer-full of silverware and cooking utensils. And there were plenty of pots and pans. They even have a jacuzzi tub....

We spent 13 nights at Sleepy Forest, the room was big enough for that amount of time and, let's face it, if you are spending a lot of time in your room in this area, then you are definitely in the wrong place! The whole property is very well looked after and generally very peaceful. It was a novelty for...
