Room was nice size and the bed was comfortable. The pillows were a bit thin so two are needed. Some rooms have flat screen TVs but mine had a 13 inch crt. The wifi works but is very slow. My chrome book was able to connect but my iphone could not find the network. The complimentary breakfast had instant oatmeal,...

We stayed here for the weekend in June. The price is mainly why I chose this place. Pros: comfy bed, location, price, very friendly staff, wifi, lawn furniture & BBQs outside for use. Cons: needs updating. Six to 10 minute walk to main part of town. There are also other restaurants nearby. Breakfast was nothing to brag about, but it...

Stayed there for our 49th aniveasary. Although old it is very nice and clean. The rooms are spacious and the help are very friendly. It its back off the maun highway and you don't hear the road noise. It is in the heart or town and close to shops and restraunts. Another perk is they don't raise the price on...

My husband and I stayed here over 4th of July weekend. All the hotels were marked up for the weekend, and I wasn't about to pay $200+ for a hotel in the off season of Big Bear. I got this room for $80, which was a pretty good price for the location and holiday Pros: -The owners were really friendly....

The Hotel is showing its age and needs updating badly. No A/c or window screens, hallways so hot that breathing is a struggle. Ancient tube TVs barely usable. Broken bathroom door veneer snagged clothing. No food service for most of week. Plumbing old and slow. Tub filled to 6" deep when showering which was very uncomfortable. Sink fixtures squeaked loudly...

I understand the travel industry and I am fully aware of "you get what you pay for. What I don't understand is "dis-information and misrepresentation. First of all I don't know what the think a "Resort" is. This is nothing more than an old road side motel with no pool, no air conditioning, wifi that doesn't work more than 15...

I now always stay here when visiting Big Bear. The rooms are very spacious also come with a great continential breakfast. I have stayed in many of the different rooms some beds are better than others. They are slowing upgrading tv's to flat screens from what I heard. I have never been unhappy arriving or leaving The Vintage Resort, Carla...

We stayed here recently for one night. The girl at the front desk was friendly and nice. The room itself was fine -- we just needed a clean place to sleep and this fit the bill. We did encounter several issues, though. * The door to our room just pushed open and we had difficulty keeping it secured. The doorknob...

Every year we go to Big Bear, in August, for the Big Bear Classic Car Show. In the past, we've stayed at the Motel 6. This year we decided to make a change ... and we are very glad we did. The Vintage Resort is actually within walking distance from down town Big Bear (with all of their quaint shops)...

“None of the rooms are next to the lake even though it's called Lakeside. But the rooms farther down (higher numbers) are closer to the water and farther from the main boulevard. Room #2 or 3 with a King bed was not so hot.”
