A family-run motel where all the staff take care to make guests feel welcome. Comfy beds. Soft sheets. Fluffy pillows. Coffee maker with grinder and packets of whole beans. Plus lovely flourishes like folded tissue and toilet paper and folded-towels art. A welcoming place to

Friendly service and clean rooms at this motel. We stopped here for one night on the way from LA to Tahoe. Don’t expect to have dinner in the town as nothing open so stop on the way or come with something to eat.

We stayed here on a November 2018 motorcycle trip from the Eastern Sierra's to Yosemite. Many of the motels in Bridgeport were closed for the season. After a long day of riding, we ended up at the Ruby Inn. The woman who checked us in, Mary, indicated she was the owner...had

I've been staying here since 1999 when I couldn't get a room in Lee Vining. That was a quirk of good fortune! Due to a last minute change in my travel plans this year, I ended-up arriving a day earlier than planned. This was no problem at all for the management here to handle

The staff was friendly and helpful. The beds were comfortable and the room clean. The $190 per rate I thought steep vs what I pay rlsewhere in CA fora comparable room - 120-140, sometimes less. I was annoyed by the number of mosquitos in the room I had to kill before going to

How cool is this?
Yes, there is A/C in the rooms. However, in almost 20 years of staying in the Ruby Inn during mid-summer, I've never used it. More important is a good heating system. That you will need! This is the high desert. And, once the sun goes down so does the temperature. Especially on a clear evening! I've had to scrape frost off my car early in the morning in mid-August. I've also seen it snow there in late June. As for kids swimming, I've yet to see anything for that. The closest I know of is the pool at Grover Hot Springs in Markleeville. You might want to ask around..

Hi Darren... I don't think any of the motels in Bridgeport offer a kitchenette in any rooms beyond having a fridge and microwave like the Ruby Inn offers in all of its rooms. As for a monthly rate, I suggest you contact Steve or Mary Noble (the owners) on their regular phone number as shown in the TripAdvisor listing. Having said that, I do know that they have hosted many long-term/construction worker guests over the years...
