The Larkmead Country Inn won't make you feel like you're in the lap of luxury, nor will it be the place for those who like the pampered feel of ultra-modern accommodations (though there is wifi readily available). If, however, you're looking for a reasonably priced, off-the-beaten-path, no-frills stay with a helpful host, the Inn could be a great choice. We...

Stayed a Sunday and Monday in October. Room was great as always. Tim was a great host as always, Great view from our balcony of vineyards. We have been coming here for at least 25 years and will return as often as we can.

Quietly located in the middle of the vineyards, this inn is conveniently between St Helena and Calistoga. Lovely views of the vineyards and ever so quiet, just what we wanted after a day of running around and wine tasting. Breakfast was more than enough - nice pastries, loads of fruit and coffee. No television (this is a plus) but there...

I had a nice stay. The place is in the middle of Larkmead vineyards. Its a little offbeat-yes, but the place has a rustic charm abt it. very pretty rooms, old fashioned-yes, very neat and clean bathrooms-remodeled, from what the pictures are here from 2007. Tim, was a grt and friendly. The only thing you must ask before you come...

Be aware before staying here. Horrible guy. Horrible experience! I called Tim 3 months before heading to Calistoga for a my first marathon and let him know I was looking for 2 rooms to bring my little one and my parents to help me watch her for the race. He was fine with it and told me to send in...

Peaceful and serene. Just what we were looking for. A quiet countryside bed/breakfast. Thank you, Tim for giving us just that. Location is tucked in the countryside surrounded by the vineyards. Away from the hustle/bustles but 10 minutes from all the tourist attractions. Our stay was like visiting a home of a friend/family. We explored the grounds and enjoyed R&R...

We had a nice experience at the Larkmead Inn. It is neat/orderly and clean, but dated. The room we stayed in was good sized, but basic. The bathroom was small, but met our needs. The location is great. It's close to both downtown Calistoga and St. Helena. Tim, the owner, is friendly and helpful.

The Larkmead Inn is exactly as advertised. It is a very old mansion filled with some interesting antiques. Our room was clean and comfortable with a wonderful view of the vineyards and the hillsides. Breakfast was very appealing with a heaping plate of fresh fruit and a basket of warm pastries. Overall, we would recommend Larkmead without hesitation to our...

For people who don't plan ahead, make reservations, or have any expectations other than an adventure... all i can say is: amazing location; great owner who is dynamic, charismatic, full of great stories and local history; wonderful breakfasts; peaceful place to sip great wine and places to tour vineyards all around; an unforgettable experience. After seeing the owners own collection...
