What a wonderful stay at the Residence Inn in Camarillo. I contacted Rene Jones the hotel GM and she was simply wonderful on check in and throughout our stay. I was also able to get a Bonvouy upgrade due to availability and the fact it was a mid-week stay. The entire staff were so friendly and professional and the cleanliness and maintenance of this Marriott location is stellar. They also offer a complimentary breakfast mid-week from 6-9 am and on weekends 7-10 am on weekends. Internet TV is also available and free Showtime. They do allow pets with a $150 1st pet and $20 for additional pets. This is a no smoking facility as well. Wifi is available for free through Marriott Bonvouy. The pool area, fitness center, laundry, court activities, fire pit and BBQs highlight their amenities and their is a 24 hr. On-site mini market. The location in central and within the village of the park community near trails, shopping and restaurants. I highly recommend this site and I suggest you contact Rene Jones as she provides amazing customer service and leadership at the site and it's evident all the employees show the same commitment to excellence. Jacob also brought us some pillows, towels and paper products and was amazing in his customer service and communication. I see this young man as a future hotel GM. Highly recommended.…
Stayed for one night because it is walking distance to my son’s home in Camarillo. The room was large and very comfortable. The facility is tidy, clean and modern. It is way overpriced for its category, and there were a few disappointments. I booked through one of the major travel websites and the price included parking. The hotel charged me $10 for parking anyway, and just billed my card for it… even after I told them that my price was to include parking. Also, though the bathroom appeared clean, the remains of someone’s BM was still in the toilet. To me, that is inexcusable. If you need to be in Camarillo for an extended business trip at a corporate discount or on the company dime, this is still a good option. If you are in the area on vacation paying a retail room rate, stay far away from this place.…
Every year we have to stay in a hotel while they fumigate the fields nearby our home. In the past we have stayed here at the Residence Inn in Camarillo. We have a dog so I needed a place that would allow pets but also a place that we could cook at/have meals at since we cannot leave the dog alone. This year was the first time I used the app. Our dog passed away last year so it was unnecessary for us to stay here but we know what the place has so it was a choice of familiarity. As I said I used the app, booked a suite. When we were informed of a change in dates, was able to make the date changes on the app. So all was good using the app until it was time to check in. We need to leave our home early in the morning of Tuesday so of course you cannot check in that early, so we book for the Monday night. Apparently checking in on the app is not good enough. When I arrived on Tuesday morning, I was told my reservation was canceled due to “No Show”. I had told the receptionist that I did check in on the app, she told me rudely that was not good enough, I should have called the front desk and told them. So apparently checking in on the app does not guarantee you have checked in. DO NOT USE THE APP FOR CHECKING IN!! At least for this hotel property. Fortunately for the hotel and for us the room was available but this may be our last stay here. As for the property itself, things are little more worn and upkeep standards have a look of things sliding. It could be as a hotel, things get used frequently and probably take a beating or it could be management issues. This time and the last time we stayed here were probably the first time I felt the room cleanliness lacking. I not sure if it is how the cleaning schedule - once a week for stays over 7 days and obviously short term stay when you check out. Paper given to you at check in does state to contact hotel for any housekeeping needs not scheduled but also it could take up to 24 hours to fulfill the request. They are now charging $10 per vehicle per day as well. For us that is $20/day since my husband and I both have vehicles. This is the first time we have been charged for parking. For the hotel’s plus side it does has kitchen with sink, refrigerator, stove with oven, dishwasher with limited amount of basic kitchen cookware, dinnerware and utensils, allowing you to be able to fix meals in your room. There are no restaurants with in walking distance (less than a mile) with the exception of the Subways across the street in the gas station, but there are quite few nearby restaurants.…
We arrived 3:23pm, checked in on 9/09/2022 for 2 nights at Residence Inn by Marriott in Petit street, Camarillo, California . Attending wedding the next day of our niece. Our cousin- father of the bride visited us the first night till 11:30pm. The next morning 9/10/2022, went for breakfast (lobby) . After hours , getting ready for The wedding I went to ask an envelope from the front desk and saw our friend in the lobby then proceeded to the parking towards church wedding then the reception till 10:45pm. Arrived hotel, access the side door not main door -towards their market store in the lobby. Early morning of Sunday(9/11/2022) , checked our hotel bill and surprised of $12.00 plus tax as market beverage. Went to front desk prior our breakfast. The staff as “night audit “ named Raina who helped us was so rude. Not being helpful at all, said “ she claimed that they asked the name of the person who took a bottle of water her/his name and room number matched our ours ! I asked the ticket or charge slip - couldn’t provide and asked her “did you asked her/him driver license? Replied “No”. Hence, she took off with “no apology” at all that they charged wrong guest or wrong number . I told her I do the same job as “Front desk” and work with one of the biggest hotel in San Francisco for 33 years. I told her I don’t come here to inform you that posted charge a stuff that I didn’t and don’t lie . My work used to be with Marriott hotel chain for 9 1/2 years and I still know how to treat guests. Also, went back to get new receipt and told them that the room we were staying has plenty of ants in the bath tub, floor which I sprayed “lysol disinfectant “ however the next day still have some ants and a bug 🐜.…
I’ve been a Marriott member for many years and have not visited this location in Camarillo before. I was greeted by Rene who was kind enough to try & get me an early check in since I was traveling with my elderly father. She was accommodating and did everything she could & got us in before the 4PM check in time. Our room was a 2 bedroom suite & it was spotless & clean & very comfortable. I loved this location & the staff are awesome, especially Rene!
It's probably a harsh two star rating but it definitely fell below many of the places I've given three stars - just too many aspects were below standard. Firstly, charging for parking was a bit of a disappointment given the hotel is in the middle of nowhere and land is not at a premium; arriving at the rooms, the corridor had been revamped but the rooms (aside from the TVs) hadn't and looked tired - there was no safe in the room; the aircon was universally controlled despite us having a three-room suite and had a fan in each bedroom which you couldn't even turn off; some of the TV channels didn't work; and the pull-out sofa bed was barely even usable, I certainly wouldn't want to sleep on it. Add into that the lack of regular room service as standard and a bath that didn't drain properly, and the room was a let down. The second bedroom bed was also small. Although breakfast was complimentary, it was of poor quality - few selections, on multiple occasions there were bugs in the water machine and the hours (particularly weekdays, closing at 9am) could have been longer. The gym was almost certainly the worst equipped I've ever seen in any hotel worldwide, and certainly the smallest. The pool area was nice enough, and in the sun... yet closed without notice for 'sanitising' on one of the days we were there without even letting guests use the sunbeds. Overall a very disappointing stay considering what I paid. …
We stayed in Residence Inn for 7 months now due to a business assignment, expect to stay for another 2 months. The hotel at the weekends were full of quests due to its convenient location and free hot breakfast, even though it’s room rate is relatively expensive. Front desk workers were welcoming and polite but a little slow in response if issue occurred. But we did not run into any major problem during that 7 month’ stay except they cannot guarantee your room requested days before arrival. Even you are Platinum card holder. Room is nice and clean, wi-fi is just adequate but not near “excellent” as promised, breakfast is proper with limited items, Equipment in the small Gym room is noisy and towels are often lacking. Location of the Hotel is excellent: entrance of highway is just right at the corner, restaurants nearby(in old town) are plenty, Outlet(Mall) is just minutes away.…
Recently, I visited Camarillo, Ca. and stayed at the Residence Inn - Camarillo for 3 nights. My stay was very comfortable and hassle free. The welcoming staff members were friendly, engaged in small "chit-chat" and assured me that I was in for a pleasant stay. I found the room/suit to be very clean and stocked with essentials if I choose to prepare food on my own. My only concern, as with any hotel that I check into, was the bed. Was it nice and comfortable? Well, I can assure you that it was. My wife and I slept like "babies in a rug." :) Very, very comfortable. The parking was adequate though there is a $10.00 parking fee. As I departed, I ask my wife..."Is this a do-over?" and her response was "very much so."
Receptionists were welcoming and our room & bathroom was clean. The lobby was also well-maintained and also clean during our stay. Our booking included a free breakfast, which was decent; There was a variety of items to choose from. Location was also great – close to the outlet mall. We would definitely stay here again!
Baseball tournament. Asked the front desk to clean our room Saturday morning, After we checked in on Friday and our room smelled like urine. Didn’t happen. Luckily, we played 2 baseball games and spent a lot of time by the fire pit. On Sunday when we left for our games I again I asked for them to clean our room due to our room smelling like urine. Didn’t happen. Came back to a stack of towels left for us, but the room was not cleaned. Sunday night…..I grabbed a bottle of water from the lobby. Nobody was at the front desk. I said ‘hello.’ Nobody answered. I said ‘hello’ again. Nobody from the back came forward. I walked out the door. A lady ran after me and yelled at me: ‘you are a bad person’ and asked are you ‘okay with stealing.’ She was upset due to HER not doing her job. I gave her my room number and told her I would have given her my room number had she been at the front desk doing her job. A very disappointing Marriott experience. We spend A lot of time in Marriott hotels.…
