Typical HIE, nothing great. First when checking in, my profile which specifically asks for a room located near the elevator (and even though I'm a Spire Elite) the front desk clerk never acknowledged my status and proceeded to give me the furthest room from the elevator which was quite far away at the other end of the building. I think he was traumatized by Covid-19 as he was totally PPE'd up including ridiculous looking snorkeling goggles.

The room was decent but many electrical outlets didn't work and overall the room was quite dark unless you went around a found all the "mood" lighting space around the room. The bathroom has the most pathetic water spout in the sink, the kind you get in the airports that supposed work when you put your hands underneath. It didn't work well and came out in FULL force that you couldn't adjust. So if you want to brush your teen, you have to wave your hand underneath the spout, hope it "senses" the movement and then the water blasts out and maybe it will get warm before it shuts off. It's the most poorly designed faucet I have ever used, one absolutely nobody would have in their home and most certainly should not be in the hotel. Pathetic.

Just what we needed for our one night stay. The hotel was easy to access right off the highway, and offered lots of parking along the back of the property which felt very secure. There didn’t seem to be much around that was a walkable distance but restaurants and shopping are just a short drive away.
The room was spacious and had a nice counter area outside the bathroom. Everything seemed clean!
One hiccup is that they offer guest laundry facilities but were not able to provide us change for the machines.

This is an above average hotel with hot breakfast (sausages, hashbrowns, scrambled eggs) along with the muffins, bagels, and cereals. Just make sure to get there 30 minutes earlier, else you might have to insist they stop cleaning up the stove, to serve you. It is very convenient in the morning, though. They also have evening receptions. You can order cocktails, with popcorn, nachos, celery sticks. The service is average. The beds are queen size beds and quite comfortable.

The room smelled very clean and you can tell they go to great lengths to keep the guest safe. Very spacious room with great room adminites. Hotel staff was awesome, upon check in, we were greeted and promptly checked in . There is hand cleaning, sanitizing area around the hotel. There is a breakfast, take and go. Hotel is in a good location. Just had a great stay and the room was at a very reasonable rate.

I just came back from staying at this property. I was very pleased.
My room was big, two queen sized beds, a refrigerator, and micro-wave oven, ironing board and iron, hair dryer, coffee and coffee maker, cable t.v., free local calling, free parking, nice size bathroom, plenty of clean towels, nice hot shower for each of us (4 in my family) every morning, complimentary breakfast (eggs, hashbrowns, sausage, waffles) and then some every morning, excellent coffee, staff very friendly and helpful, great location directly off the highway, easy access, swimming pool and patio was nice, room was cleaned every day perfectly, the price was excellent $89 per night, I highly recommend this hotel if your traveling on a budget. Its not a luxury hotel, but its perfect for traveling with kids, its very clean, very comfortable, good food that is included in the room price, great service, conveniently located. You get a lot for your money at this property. Don't hesitate, make a reservation!

We booked this place few months in advance through hotels.com. We stayed there about a year ago and it was within limits. It was old and not very clean, but had a decent breakfast.
I, my wife and our daughter checked in about 9PM last Saturday night. The room looked kind of strange, but since we were tiered from driving it took us few minutes to start noticing things. Every square foot of probably over a 30 years wall paper was peeling off. The bathtub had different colors. Some due to rust, others due to uncleanable dirt and still others from patches of hand paint. There was only one chair and an old TV without remote control. Room had strong unpleasant smell. I decided to open the window to get some fresh air. Glass in one of the windows was broken and a handle just felled off in my hands.
I went to front desk to report the window and ask for a TV remote. I was informed not to worry about the window and that there are no available extra TV remotes so I have to manage without.
We were very tired and just wanted to go to sleep. As soon I removed my shoes and stepped on the carped I experienced unpleasant feeling. Carpet was very dark so it was difficult to see first that it’s filthy. There were pieces of chicken bones, dust dirt and what else…
My wife went to complain to the front desk. She was informed that it’s the only room available and they will call somebody to come and clean it within 10 to 15 minutes. Time passed and nobody arrived.
I just wanted to go to bed. When I removed the blanket I found a big lump of human hair on the bed sheet. This did it. All three of us went to the front desk and in presence of other guests I loudly started to summaries their quality. Suddenly and miraculously with I quiet voce I heard “we’ll move you to other room”. The other room, while still not worth rating of two and a half stars was much, much better. It even had a telephone and extra chair. We were very pleased that finally we can go to sleep. Well, story is not over. At about 2AM we were woken up by noise in the hall. It sounded like whole Mexican village with screaming kids and moving all their belonging was rolling through the hall. Then there was a noise of braking things. It stopped after some 20-30 minutes and finally we could go back to sleep. In the morning in the hallway, right by our door I found a broken lamp and lots of broken glass.
When I mentioned the noise at our check out in hope to get some sympathy and perhaps apology from hotel, the clerk responded “we were aware of it”. It was great to be out. I’ll never stay there again.

If I could give this hotel one star I would. They were horrible! I should have listened to the other reviews. I reserved our stay with a card that I was not going to actually use to pay for the room. Per Priceline.com and Booking.com, the hotel shouldn't charge anything until we arrive and check in. The hotel charged my card at midnight, the night before I arrived. It didn't go through because again, that wasn't the card I was going to pay with. Instead of calling me, they simply cancelled the reservation. When I received a notification from my credit card company, I tried calling the hotel to clear everything up. The number listed for the hotel didn't work. I called over ten times throughout the day. The number wouldn't ring, it would just click and hang up on me. I called Booking.com and they tried to get a hold of the hotel with the same thing happening to them. Then, when we arrived to the hotel to try to check in, they said reservation was cancelled and there were no rooms for our family. Not to mention, there were at least three other customers in the lobby complaining of the conditions and/or communication with the hotel. What really bothered me was the way the manager had an excuse for everything and blamed everyone else for the poor experience. No accountability or apologies. My husband was furious with the manager, rightfully so, and the manager threatened to call the cops?! Really? Try operating your hotel in a legitimate way and maybe you wouldn't have problems. Their whole operations seems like a scam. Please be careful if reserving a room at this hotel.

Dear Allison we apologies for all the inconvenience as our hotel phone was have some issues which has been resolved and fixed now. Regarding charging the card all the reservation get charged on the day of arrival and declined credit card automatically get cancelled on the day of arrival and this information is posted on all the websites, the only thing we run the card on arrival is for the deposit/incidentals and I think you may have got confused about deposit taken only on arrival with (reservation charges for the room, which gets charged on the day of arrival). We hope you will give another chance to make it right for you.

Booked 2 nights through hotel website at $100/nt. Hotel is located directly off of freeway one exit west of Camarillo outlet stores. Access/parking is easy and there are a couple of restaurants within a short walk (Harley Davidson shop also!). Oversized room is good sized, but they could have used additional space in the bathroom (very small). The noisy air conditioner would typically be a drawback, but in this case it is a plus since it helps to drown out the really noisy freeway. Light sleepers should insist on room opposite freeway or stay elsewhere. There is a microwave and small refrigerator in the room and complimentary breakfast and evening drinks. Staff is very accommodating. Most travelers seem to be visiting the outlet shops, but some business travelers staying there also. Except for outlets, shopping/nightlife limited in Camarillo, but Ventura offers more choices down the freeway a few miles. Day trips to Santa Barbara are nice. This is a good location for budget travelers and shoppers.

Arrived at this dump of a hotel after a two hour drive from L.A. to find a letter telling us they were overbooked and sending us to a hotel 45 minutes back towards Los Angeles. Front desk clerk refused to call his manager or give us a number to call her. We told him to find us another hotel in the area or on the way to Santa Barbara where we were heading and he refused to try. Called IHG and they were less than helpful although they did call this clerk and told him to call the hotel in Santa Barbara. He then said to us "oh, you want me to find another hotel for you?" Then he finally called his manager and it took 45 minutes for these people to figure out how to get us a room in SB after I had to call that hotel and get them to hold a room for us. The clerk took his name tag off after our first interaction and removed the manager's plaque from the wall. Unprofessional behavior condoned by Holiday Inn who simply said "we will document your complaint"

Do not book this hotel. They are ranked 9 out of 10 in this area for a good reason.

The rooms are very run down. Dont let the GM fool you. I stayed and have been working with Hotwire to try to get them to investigate further the why they ever received stars! There is a possibility the second floor has some nicer rooms, i saw two on floor one (which were TOTALLY THE WORST EVER) because i really wanted walk in level. And then saw two more on floor 3 -which i finally "settled" on. And called Hotwire resolutions. Its a really yucky place
