Stayed here overnight on our way to visit Hearst Castle. Everything from booking online to check in & out was easy & seamless. We had a ground floor Family Suite which was very spacious, clean & cosy. The beds were incredibly comfortable. The staff were delightful. I will definitely stay here again on my next visit to Cambria. Thank You...

Let me first say that we were pretty happy with our stay at The Rigdon House. The young woman Caitlin (SP?) that checked us in and hosted the wine reception was exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable of Cambria having grown up in the area herself. We booked our room confident with our research that the property was “pet friendly”. Upon arrival,...

This place is very tough to rate. Room was very large and cozy. The young lady at the desk was very friendly and informative. She offered suggestions of places to go and places to eat. That being said there are a couple of negatives. The TV was older than most of my children. The sitting room/living room area was more...

Thank you for your review of The Rigdon House. We are happy you enjoyed your stay. Our hotel is a historic building so some parts of it are older. We try to keep the balance of having the historic charm and having modern amenities. We are constantly trying to make improvements to the property. Last summer we refreshed all the...

Stayed with a couple friend and the staff was great, the room was clean and beautiful and the grounds were adorably decorated and cozy. Easy 15 minute drive to Hearst castle and lots of great restaurants and shops in Cambria. Also nice little breakfast served 9-11. Would completely stay again!

The location of Rigdon House was perfect for our short stay in Cambria. We were within walking distance of some great restaurants, hiking trails to Fiscalini Ranch Reserve, and across the street from the shuttle to the Christmas Market that was occurring nightly while we were there. Sean was friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and cozy, with a...

We decided to make a trip to Cambria last minute, so we booked a hotel really fast, but we ended up making the best choice possible. The place is great from outside and inside. We loved our room - it was huge, divided in two parts: one with a sofa, table, chairs and a TV and another one with a...

From location, to service, to rooms, to value-- the Rigdon House is fantastic. On a drive from LA through Big Sur and back, we'd planned just to overnight in Cambria to break up the drive-- but now we realize that we should've made Cambria and the Rigdon House the focal point of the trip. The Rigdon House is in the...

We were on a tourist trip south from SF to Santa Barbara. We booked the Bolton (now: Rigdon Inn) several weeks before leaving. When something goes wrong, more such events usually follow and this so-called "inn" was no exception. Murphy's Law. When we checked in, the young student (of hotel management she told me, no less) was very courteous but...

We happened on the Rigdon House and felt so fortunate! It was raining along the California coast and we didn't feel like camping in our van. We spent two nights in this cozy inn and enjoyed every minute. Local wines were featured one evening. Morning fare was coffee and home baked goodies. Staff was friendly and helpful. Such a beautiful property. King room was very spacious, quality decor, extremely comfortable, & such a welcome change from 'chain' hotels.
