We had room #14, downstairs oceanfront. Weather was in the low-70s, so we enjoyed wine on our patio looking at the ocean. We walked the boardwalk in the morning, enjoying the salt air, and observing dolphins just outside the surf line. Plenty of begging ground squirrels along the walk, but seeing a young weasel was a treat! The continental breakfast...

Stayed in the ocean front room. It is very spacious and offers a king size bed and fireplace. Waking up and getting to watch the Big Sur sun rise is an once in a life time opportunity. Breakfast is simple, but good enough. Parking and wifi free of charge.

We only stayed one night while passing through Cambria (which is a lovely stop off point on a PCH road trip) and we loved this hotel. It was clean, comfortable, charming and had everything we needed along with some classy bathroom products, lovely linen and a good continental breakfast. The partial sea view from the room was a bonus. Can't...

Nice location on Moon Stone Beach. Friendly and helpful staff and very good breakfast. Easy access to town and about 10 minutes to Hearst Castle. Across the street from beach with view from almost every room. Easy to hear the waves of the ocean and easy walking to a couple of restaurants. 2 minute drive to town.

We had an ocean view room with two beds for a family of four. The room was really nice, very clean, comfortable and quite spacious. The view was stunning, with the beach right across the road. We watched dolphins from our balcony. Complimentary breakfast in a little courtyard full of flowers and plants was very good. Staff were pleasant and...

After travelling the Pacific Coast Highway on a return from a road trip to Monterey we decided to break up our drive with a one night stop at the little sur inn, Cambria. Very nice location and a super clean and comfortable hotel. Nice buffet breakfast included. The hotel is on a very quiet coast road with a board walk...

Nice, clean, well located inn. The only heating/cooling in the room is a gas fireplace (tells you something about the mid coast California weather!). Right across the street from the ocean boardwalk. The Cambria downtown (on the other side of Route 1), is surprisingly eclectic. Breakfast is continental (no hot dishes), but hit the mark. All around nice stay.

The rooms are really pretty and clean--hardwood floors and tile so seems really, homey and clean. There is a heater that, when it comes on is a fireplace which is cozy! I don't think they had A/C. We didn't need the first week of August but I would think other times might be needed. I saw a fan in the...

Huge room with views of the ocean. Lovely staff & breakfast. Bed was super comfortable. The lady at reception gave us a map so we could have a look around. There is a lovely beach front walk, it was a bit windy but was great after a day in the car to stretch our legs.
