After some time in Monterey over New Year 2016-17, we drove down Highway 1 and stopped in Cambria at Olalliberry Inn for three nights and four days at half the cost in Monterey. We visited Hearst Castle, tasted wine in Paso Robles and the Edna Valley and wandered the beaches from San Luis Obispo to San Simeon where the walrus...

From the moment we arrived, after the exquisite drive down Highway One, the entire team at the Olallieberry Inn made us welcome. What a find! Lovely decor, outstanding breakfast, comfy sunny and shady nooks for reading, dozing and contemplation make a visit to the Olallieberry so worth the journey! Cambria is a delightful community - lot's of great dining -...

We were looking to do some hiking in Big Sur, and so glad we found this perfect B&B in the cutest town. Maureen was a great host, responsive via email leading up to the stay. The room (ours was "San Simeon") was large with traditional furnishings, the most comfortable bed, and all the amenities, including a heated bathroom. Dirk made...

Many years ago my husband and I had stayed here. We returned a few days ago. It now has new owners who have made some nice improvements. The beds and linens are new and very nice. The furnishings appear old and could be updated over time. We had a few issues we thought were worth mentioning. There was no housekeeping...

My spouse and I have been meaning to go to Hearst Castle for quite some time. But, rather than take advantage of one of the standard hotels closer to the Castle, we wanted to stay at one of the Bed and Breakfast locales in Cambria, which is a short distance away. Olallieberry Inn was the one we finally decided on...

I visited the Olallieberry Inn several times between 2005 to 2009. After a long hiatus, I returned and we were blown away. The new owners have renovated the rooms with beautiful new comfortable beds and luxurious amenities. With all this newness, one would think that charm could be lacking, but not at Olallieberry. Although its under new ownership, the same...

We recently visited on a roadtrip in the US. We were late arriving in the inn (circa 10pm) and the proprietors did everything in their ability to make sure we were accommodated. We were greeted on arrival with a beautiful glass of wine and a delicious olallieberry slice - my fiancee reckoned it was the most delicious thing she had...

Just returned from a 3 night stay at the inn and we can't say enough about it. A gem of an inn in a gem of a town. The room was very clean and comfortable but the real highlight was the owners and the staff. Everybody was friendly and accommodating. We all gathered each morning in anticipation of Dirk's gourmet...

We came to stay in the Inn with 9 other couples. We had the Ollallieberry Room which has a lovely fireplace and an attached bath on the second floor on the main building. I had a bit of trouble sleeping on the first night because this is my first time sleeping on a memory foam mattress and pillow. A couple...

We wanted a place near "Hearst Castle/San Simeon" and Cambria is right there on the map. This is a very cute old place. We booked a suite that included a sitting room, bedroom, dressing room, and full bathroom. It was very comfortable. Lots of off street parking. Nice happy hour and breakfast. Local restaurants about a quarter to half-mile walk.
