My daughter and I spent 9 days at the Blue River Resort. It was amazing! The staff is very helpful and courteous. The activities offered are fun and the guides are WONDERFUL!! I highly recommend the Blue River Resort & Hot Springs for those of you who need to get away from everything and enjoy nature in its raw form....

We recently spent 3 nights at the Blue River resort. We made arrangements in advance for shuttle service from our previous hotel. Our shuttle pick up was prompt and we had a very comfortable ride, even over the bumpy mountain roads. The driver was friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The grounds of the resort are absolutely stunning. From the...

We just got back from a vacation to Blue River Resort and Spa, and we absolutely loved it! Everyone is so friendly and helpful, the food is fantastic and the setting with the hot springs is great! We went hiking with Felix and Echo (the dog, who goes on all the hiking trips, and even follows the zip-liners!) to a...

We recently spent three nights at the Blue River Resort. The property is really lovely with well maintained pools and beautiful botanical gardens. Our room was well appointed and clean and the beds were comfortable. Although easy to find, the roads in were rough so we had to go slowly. The resort is pretty isolated and needed a few more...

After many slow miles of very bad roads one reaches this welcome gem. The cabinas are very nice, roomy and clean. Everyone there try's very hard to make your stay exactly what you want. The extensive gardens can occupy many hours, the pools are warm and comfortable but not hot. The restaurant does an excellent job and works hard to...

Great hospitality and wonderful setting! We were fortunate enough to meet the owner Danny. The staff makes sure you're well taken care of and the accommodations were greater than we expected. Also, Blue River has super good guides whether your ziplining or horseback riding. Overall, an excellent place to stay, some of the best food we've experienced in Costa Rica!

Nice hotel, good service, clean villas but we went to the river, no one told us we had to pay extra for nothing, just to enter the property and go to the waterfall, really not reasonable since we were staying in the hotel....

Blue River Resort was just what I needed to relax and celebrate my 50th wedding anniversary--albeit without my beloved spouse who died before reaching that milestone in our life. I loved the gardens, pools, koi pond, hummingbirds, and butterfly house, took advantage of the spa, and scheduled a couple of adventures, such as horseback riding and zip-lining, which was my...

A long way off the beaten track, Blue River is a beautiful resort with amazingly luxurious villas at super low prices (around $70 per night). So you might ask why we've given such a low score. There are two main reasons for that: 1) As we were on our honeymoon, we wanted to grab every opportunity to try new experiences....

The website and other reviews we read prepared us for what to expect when we arrived at Blue River Resort, and we weren't disappointed. We were greeted by friendly staff who promptly got us checked in and to our room. All of the staff we dealt with were very friendly and helpful. The Botanical Gardens were gorgeous, although we didn't...
