I've traVelez to Costa Rica many times, each time visiting a different province and region. This was my first time visiting the most northern region of Guanacaste, flying into Liberia. SO NICE! compared to San Jose airport. It was just a short drive from the airport to Hacienda Guachipelin (56 minutes with traffic). Just on the edge of the Rincon... More

The staff was helpful and courteous, location absolutely astounding, room was ridiculously huge. The food was very very fresh and well prepared. The hot springs and mud were fun. The waterfalls were stunning, water tubing was refreshing, zipping was exhilarating. This place is a MUST and I'm very glad to have taken my son there. DO NOT WEAR HEELS and... More

Very scenic. The location is great and has an hacienda look to it. As far as food goes we liked It, and the breakfast is a pretty complete breakfast buffet so we liked that. The staff were really welcoming and nice also. The rooms are basic and simple, but the activities make up for it. There are plenty of activities within the... More

This review is a bit late as stayed in January 2016. But we enjoyed the hotel so felt it deserved a review. This was our first stop in Costa Rica. The arrival was really welcoming as we were greeted by live music and a refreshing fruit juice. The room was basic but just what we needed, clean and a comfortable... More

Great hotel to spend a few days. We loved the hot springs, and we enjoyed hiking. The food is pretty good, but gets tiring after a few days. I would come back to spend more time hiking the volcano. All of the staff was very helpful.

Pleasant simple hotel. A good start to Costa Rica. Food ok. Nice grounds and birds and amphibians. Horse riding and tubing are fun. Watch out for ticks in stirrups though Part of Thomson grand tour first night

We stayed a few days and had fun ziplining, river tubing, horseback riding and going to hot springs, all in a single day. The next day we hiked the Rincon National Park, which was amazing and beautiful. Another day we hiked to a waterfall and swam. Don't need a car, the shuttle takes you everywhere. Rooms are nice and food... More

Scenic location, open air restaurant, great hikes nearby. Rooms are basic, breakfast buffet is nice, but after one day we were really tired of the bland lunch & dinner choices. Bring along a picnic lunch if you can. Pool is refreshing.

My partner and had the pleasure of staying here for several nights and were highly impressed with the friendliness and generosity of the staff. The food is good, the pool nice and the hot springs that the Hacienda owns are sensational. The hot springs alone are worth the stay. ;)

This was part of the Grand Tour of Costa Rica, with Thomson's, so we had a stopover here, hotel itself was ok, rooms a bit basic, but for the night, ok. This was only bed and breakfast, so we had pay for the evening meal, not too bad a price, (this was only the beginning of what could have been... More
