After calling in adv re: Disabled access and told no problem. We arrive, park in the garage, find Elevator out of service. No Ramp to Front door or rooms. Manager did not know when the Elevator would be fixed, but could use Elevator once to get to room, not sure after that! All rooms are internal, only way to access...

this is a unique property. The classical finishes are reminiscent of the 1970s, but are very well maintained. Most walls are wallpapered, but I did not see any marks or tears. I jogged on the nearby Los Gatos Creek train, which is very nice.

The room i had was on the first floor that had access to a patio in the back. Very clean, not perfectly updated. But not at all dirty or shabby. Nice. I would stay here again. The breakfast every morning was a choice of eggs, sausage, biscuits, assortment of cerels,, breads and fruits. Coffee and tea all day .

The room and hotel decor is very quaint with a definite 'history' theme throughout hotel but the rooms seems really jam-packed with lots of things inside it that makes you feel like you are in a museum. The television is in a huge dresser like piece of furniture and not all stations get the best reception and the bathroom could...

Staff was friendly, beds were comfortable, breakfast was mediocre (have had better, have had worse), free wi fi worked. No bells and whistles (pool, exercise room, etc.) & business center computer (1 at front desk) did not work. However, they let me walk behind the counter to print out my flight tickets. Again, very nice staff. Rooms were dated, and...

I find it interesting that the 2 best recent reviews are by reviewers who have dome ONE review! We arrived at 2:45 and after checking in, the clerk said he would look to see uf a room was available. After I said at this time there ought to be 1 room available he disappeared and never came back. A lady...

We arrived a few hours prior to check in time. I explained that my wife was disabled and they not only checked us in early, they gave us a room very close the elevator and parking garage. Plenty of parking by the way. I could always fine a space. Rooms were plenty big enough with very comfortable beds and linens....

It's a nice looking hotel; but, it is very old. There is a common patio that is available, but, very dirty. The furnitures & upholsteries are stained and smelly. Worse of all, the bed is so old that the edge curls up when you sit on it, even the the box spring sinks! Upon entering, we decided not to stay....

We originally selected the Carlyle Hotel based on price and convenience. What a surprise to find such lovely European accommodations within the greater San Jose, CA area. After spending five nights in this marvelous hotel, we have absolutely NO complaints and can't begin to enumerate all the positive features. It was all perfect from the courtesy underground parking to the...
