We had a delightful stay at the Kamui during our trip to Niseko. We enjoyed the quiet location outside of the chaos of the main Niseko town. Walking distance from a handful of delicious restaurants and an easy shuttle to the resort base. Clean, large rooms with kitchenette, washer and dryer.

My partner and I had no idea what to expect from our time in Niseko. Neither of us had really ever seen snow before. We were totally unprepared and a little embarrassed. We were met at Kutchan by Ski Japan, who attend the Kamui, and from the moment we stepped into the private bus we were well looked after. The Kamui is beautiful. A little remote but we wanted that and again the team at Ski Japan took us where we needed to go and where they couldn't gave us all the advice we could need. The room was enormous and beautifully presented. If I had one comment, and the resort is aware of this anyway, is that it could do with a restaurant / bar / lounge. Somewhere to sit by a fire, have something to eat and relax. From what we were told this is in the planning. Would I stay at the Kamui again - Absolutely.

Do: We traveled in two to niseko for skiing. We found Kamui on tripadvisor and never regret our choice. They had staff waiting for us right outside the airport gate, and also provided shuttle service when we arrived at niseko by bus during late night. Check-in was super fast. And we were surprised by how decent the apartment was. They have well-decorated living room and kitchen and a huge TV. We spent a lot time lying in couch and watch apple tv. They also left toasts, milk, some snacks on the living room table. All staff we met were abolutely friendly and willing to help. They gave us a ride to Hirafu even though we did not book in advance because we were about to miss our ski class. Definitely would choose Kamui again next time we travel to niseko. Tiny Don't: - only one mirror in the bathroom with bad lightening which is unfriendly for girls to do makeup :< - the heat is to strong. We turned off everything we saw but still felt hot so that we opend the window before we slept. Or maybe we missed something. - too dry in room so maybe a humidifier would make it better.

We loved everything about our experience in The Kamui, Niseko. We availed of the airport transfer from CTS Airport. As soon as we got out of the immigrations, a staff from SkiJapan welcomed us and gave us useful tips on how to enjoy Niseko and where to eat. We stayed in their 1 bedroom apartment which was very spacious for 2 people. I loved how they left us some snacks in the room. The modern interiors, the bed and sofa were so cozy that there were days we prefered to stay indoors instead of heading out. There was netflix and heated floors...what more could you ask for! A housekeeping staff went to clean the rooms regularly which was very helpful. There was a time we left our keys inside the room and we couldn’t get in. Fortunately, they sent someone fast to help us get in our rooms. All the staffs from the receptionists to the drivers etc were very helpful, friendly and attentive. The only problem is that there’s no shuttle service to the town during the day so you either have to take a cab(which can be costly) or bus from the nearby ski slopes. During times when we were tired and hungry, it was challenging to locate a restaurant since the area is quite isolated.P.S. There’s a nearby indian restaurant at The Kamui that has amazing cheese garlic naan and buttered chicken... must try!

Kamui is located in Abuta-gu, fairly close to Niseko Annupuri Kokusai Ski Area. The room is spacious, modern and well equipment. It has pantry and washing machine which is good for long stay guests. Staff are nice and helpful with lots of local support. Highly recommended.
