Located barely 200m from the gondolas at the base of An'nupuri and the Northern Resort, the Milky House was the perfect lodging for our ski vacation. Getting here is very convenient; whether you take the train or bus, the owner will pick you up along with all of your gear (just makes sure to call ahead first). We took a...

Milky House was probably the most unique and interesting place I have stayed in Hokkaido. The rooms are spacious with interesting lofts (in some rooms). Shared toilet was clean and the bath room (Japanese ofuro) was spacious. Add to this that the staff drove us to our choice of any one of a dozen plus onsen (hot spring) every night...

Look no further - this is the ideal ski lodge in all respects. The place is super cozy, the owner is a superb nice guy. He speaks no English, but the staff speak great English, so they'll help you find your way around. The rooms are small, but super comfy. Lots of very nice woodwork. It's a traditional Japanese hotel,...

Great place to hike Some English spoken Great views Excellent meals and a good value. Best to have a car here, although the owner drove us to a hiking Area And gave us a tour of the countryside. June is the best time to see flowers here and it's great for skiing as it's very close to the lifts

Stayed at the Milky House with a friend and we shared the Eagle room. Upon arrival the host picked us up from the top of the mountain and drove us to the accommodation, he also arranged our hire equipment which was dropped off by the guys the next morning. The room was very cozy and well sized. During our stay...

I just completed a 14 night stay. I went to snowboard and got 13 days of average to good boarding which considering the end of the season is approaching was to be expected. The Milky house is about 200m from lift/gondola base in the Annupuri branch of the Niseko Ski Area. As long as all the lifts are working you...

We were on a family holiday with 10 adults and 6 kids ages ranging from 4 to 8 years. We were exploring hokkaido on wheels and chose to stay at Country Inn due to the quaint dorm like facility. The Inn is a lovely place. Easy to reach by car. Upon arrival, we realized that our large suitcases had to...

Unfortunately we were left with a bitter taste in our mouth after an otherwise pleasant stay at this Inn. Staff telling us breakfast was included on arrival AND during our stay, and then being faced with a non negotiable bill at end is not ok!!

Milky House would have been an enjoyable stay, however due to my requirements of a slight late check-in (which I notified the owner of in advance) the owner maintained a constant rude and passive aggressive attitude towards myself and partner throughout the entirety of stay, most apparently during; check-out and the communications and interactions within shared spaces, resulting in a...

My son (7 yrs old) and I booked for two days and extended for one more at this friendly and charming country inn. We would have extended for a week if we did not have a return flight already booked. It was an immersive experience of Hokkaido filled with sincerity. Here are other reasons to book this place. The Food:...
