the BDL is a great place to stay if your into skiing the niseko pow. like minded people from all over the place are attracted to this place for all the right reasons. the staff is super helpful and happy to share beta and tips for where to ski all over the islands. the specials are delicious and well priced for the area. we had a hard time going into town after spying the specials on the chalk board. clean showers and amenities. clean rooms.

We had the best stay at BDL! Super friendly and helpful staff, particularly Dee who was able to answer any and all questions from our time of booking. Easy location in terms of getting up to the lifts (shuttles from BDL in the morning or a bus stop 100m down the road if you want a little sleep in) and lots of buses heading into Hirafu (main village) - Niseko village itself has lots of options for eating out if you don't want to head into town as well. Rooms are basic but you don't need much more when you are skiing all day! Everyone else staying at the lodge was really friendly and there for the same reason which created a good vibe! Would absolutely go back if returning to Niseko.

BDL is by far the best option you should consider to stay when you decide to make the trip to Niseko. 5 minute walk from the lifts giving you access to some of the freshest snow before others join you on the slopes. The rooms are perfect for your stay, all you need. Dee is wonderful and will happily help you out where required, as will all of the other staff there. Cheap drinks at the downstairs bar, as well as awesome food and good breakfast. Pool table and dart board to keep you occupied while drinking. 100% recommend considering staying here if you're hunting fresh snow travelling with mates or a partner.

Perfect place to spend a few days in Niseko. The crew here are all in town b/c they love skiing and this Niseko community, which makes for an excellent experience. They have great beta on the best spots to find good snow, and will go out of their way to make sure your trip is great. We will be back!

Black Diamond Lodge is THE place to stay in Niseko. The rooms are pretty basic, but very clean and offer everything you need on a skiing trip to Hokkaido. BDL's biggest advantage is its staff, which really understands the needs of skiers & snowboarders and takes care of your needs / wishes / questions during your entire stay as well as before and even after. In addition, the restaurant offers the BEST food in town and is definitely worth visiting, even if you are not staying at the Lodge itself.
