Me and a friend stayed at the Pension Brook for 8 nights during a skiing holiday at Hokkaido. Brook is run by a family and it is so well run, clean and convenient I can strongly recommend anyone skiing in the Niseko United area to stay. Amazing value for money and just a 5 minute walk to the main road...

After 5 weeks of travelling across Japan, this pension is in our Top 3. This is not a party place and if ski-in/ski-out accommodation is what you want, it is best you look elsewhere, although it is possible to return to the pension on skis. When we booked, we were a little concerned about accessing the Niseko resorts, but our...

Nice place to stay! The owners are very friendly and welcoming. The rooms are not that big but confortable. They cook good food for lunch on some days during The week. The breakfast is ok. The atmosphere is very nice. Out of Niseko village there are buses to go downtown. The price is very attractive . One of the cheapest...

Pension Brook is typical of many accomodations in and around Niseko. It's a pension, not a Western hotel so expect that it is more guesthouse with owners living on site. The owners are very attentive but their English is rather limited. Our room was on the main floor but the property is very quiet and we were never disturbed. The...

We spent two nights in Pension Brook cottage house. The cottage house is about 50m away from the main building. The cottage is spacious enough for 4 of us (2 Japanese style bed at the ground floor and 2 Western beds upstairs). It has a small kitchen, bathroom and washing machine. Even though the website states that it could accommodate...

Very happy with our choice. The hosts are very friendly and always take you to the ski lifts in the morning. The food is good with a choice of westernised or traditional Japanese. The local bus service is excellent and included in the ski lift pass. For a very special day out go Cat skiing to Weiss Mountain. Very very...

I have given Pension Brook an excellent rating despite some shortfalls that others might have not overlooked in their ratings: the door to my room didn't close properly; the jetted tub in the shared bath/shower room didn't work; the property could have used a lounge or other common area (other than the dining area) for guests to relax and socialize...

We really enjoyed staying at this pension. It was our 3rd pension in Japan in the last 12 months. The hosts (Takao and his wife) are really friendly and helpful hosts. On our last day, we asked Takao to drive us to Niseko Village but found out that the gondola was closed due to high winds, but the Annupuri gondola...

We rented Pension Brook's cottage for 5 nights and found it ideally suited our needs. There is an open attic that provides ample space for sleeping, with several comfortable beds and more sleeping space downstairs. The cottage is gas heated, has a good kitchen area, sizeable meals table / area and practical bathroom, with separate toilet. It offered more space...

Travelled with a group who stayed at the Hilton, but I booked late and was unable to get in. I was recommended Pension Brook. Great place to stay. The owners were really friendly and helpful, it was quiet and clean in a pretty location. Also a gentle taste of Japanese culture Highly recommeded, and that's from someone who normally will...

“There are two types of rooms: tatami mats or regular beds. We didn't know there were two types so when we arrived, we were automatically assigned the tatami rooms. I believe the regular bed rooms have built in bathrooms. I always have problems sleeping on hard surfaces so I will request a regular bed room next time we visit here.”
