We love Cotton Farm and hope to return one day. Not only was the host lovely & helpful, but you are almost on the slopes. No need for buses here, straight onto the lifts and away you go. If the lifts are open to the top, you can also access the other resorts quite easily. To top everything off, we loved the traditional Japanese bathrooms, the views from the bedroom and that we were well away from the 'party scene' In short if your there to ski/board and relax, perfect! If your there to party, stay in Hirafu :)

Pension cotton farm is so friendly and welcoming. Look forward to our next stay. Staff so happy to help and would you believe even home made jam and butter for breakfast. Rooms clean and tidy every day.

Unfriendly and unhelpful. Refused to provide any solution when you need help. Rigid and unresponsive. Hard to contact and never reply my emails. So disappointed about this hotel in Niseko. Highly not recommended

I rarely give an excellent review but this pension deserves it. We stayed for 3 nights and it was one of the best and homely accommodations we stayed in. The host Naoko-san was so gracious and helpful, sometimes I felt embarrassed to ask for more favors. Pros : 1) The host tried her best to make you feel comfortable and homely. The rooms, bathrooms and toilets were very clean and well heated. Rooms are not large, simple yet warm & comfortable. 2) They have Japanese style shower and hot water "onsen". 3) Her recommendation for skis & accessory rentals and ski lift tickets saved me a lot of money. E.g. Annupuri 2-day ski lift price cost me Y6,300 instead of Y8,800 at the ski lift ticket counter. Ski rental could be paid by credit card to the rental company as they delivered the items to the pension. Ski lift must be paid in cash for a voucher that could be exchanged for a RFID card at the ski lift counter. 4) 3-5 min. walk to the Annupuri ski fields. 5) Breakfast was very good western meals, which was included in the pension stay. 6) Dinner (reserve 1 day in advance) was excellent. It cost Y3,500 per pax for a 6-course western dinner. It was home cook meal with the quality of restaurant cooking but cheaper. There was no menu but all ingredients were fresh and in season. 7) There was instant ramen at Y350 per bowl from a popular Sapporo ramen shop if you want any food during the day. 8) During check-in, Naoko-san would provide all the necessary information for a pleasant stay and ski holiday, including the check-out time for bus service or taxi booking. 9) They made their own jam and liquer which were available for sale. Cons : 1) They did not reply to my 3 emails. Suspected they did not know how to reply in English and would only reply in Japanese. 2) Dinner could only be reserved the day before, not on the same day, even in the morning. Dinner was served at 6pm precisely. 3) They did not accept credit card payment. Only cash. 4) No en-suite toilet or bathroom. All toilets (male & female), bathroom (male & female) and wash basin was shared. 5) They did not provide transfer service from Niseko JR train station. You can take the local bus or taxi. Ask from the information counter. Will definitely stay here again and strongly recommend this place to other visitors.

Spent two nights in February here. The place is awesome. The owners are super accommodating, and friendly, and the wife even speaks enough English, which is a great asset around here. The food is great, so I highly recommend adding the dinner as it is priced somewhat less than in the restaurants, but you'll get a lot more quantity and quality for your money if you eat there. It's traditional Japanese home-made meals, which is incredible. The location is super close to the lift, about 3 minute walking. The rooms are on the smaller side, but you don't spend much time there, so it's all adequate. Highly recommended.
