We stayed at House Pueo for 3 nights to ski in Niseko. Isabelle and Kaoru went above and beyond any bnb we’ve stayed in. We loved being here and wished we could’ve stayed for longer. Isabelle picked us up from Niseko station and when we checked in gave us lots of info about the area. We stayed in the Japanese style room which was clean and spacious and with good storage. Bathrooms are shared but we never had to wait. All are spotlessly clean and with great power and hot water. Laundry facilities are available for a small charge and lots of space for drying wet ski gear. Breakfast is included and so delicious -freshly baked bread, cake, homemade jams, homemade tortillas and more. We paid extra for dinner which again was just delicious and locally sourced - seafood, mountain potatoes... WiFi was strong throughout the house. Isabelle drops and picks you from the ski area as there isn’t a bus service that stops nearby. This is so handy and we were very grateful for it. There are lots of good onsens nearby to soak in after a long day skiing. We were able to organise ski hire via Isabelle before we arrived and they came to fit us with the gear the morning of our first day skiing. Kaoru also really kindly helped us book a stay for later on our trip in Japanese, which was so very helpful. I can’t think of a single bad thing to say about our stay. I would highly recommend and would definitely love to come back!…

Isabelle and Kaoru are absolutely amazing hosts. They cook us delicious breakfast every morning and took us to the mountains everyday. At the end of the day, they pick us up and we would go to an Onsen with them since they go pretty much everyday. After a long day of snowboarding + onsen + massage ... it doesn't get any better. they will also help you plan your trip throughout your stay.

We had planned our honeymoon to ski in Japan. We wanted a small lodge so we could be around others (not a hotel or apartment where we wouldn't have interaction with others). But this also had the option of preparing our own meals for lunch and dinner. There is a full kitchen available and a large fridge. Is and Karou prepared wonderful breakfasts for us, and we're even willing to go out of their way to prepare items that were gluten and dairy free specifically for us! They were amazing at picking us up and transporting us skiing each day and Onsens at night. Couldn't ask for a better place or situation. Although out of town and away from the bars (you can't walk in winter due to the snow), we preferred to be away from the craziness of Hirafu. I can't think of one thing we would do differently. We were in a Japanese style room which was great, but either style would be fine.…
