I only stayed in Pak up for a night before taking my plane at the airport. If you're taking a flight in Krabi Airport and need a place to stay for the night before, I would recommend this place. I booked a taxi at the reception for 400 baht. It's a 20 min drive more or less between the hostel and the airport. The hostel beds are pretty and comfortable. The hostel is very modern, stylish and clean.
Stayed in the private double room. The room was clean, the bed was very comfy and the air conditioning keep the room a good temperature. The music from the bar can get a little loud at times but wasn’t too much of an issue and was turned down at a decent hour. The staff at this hostel were extremely accommodating. We were able to book all of our outings (Railay beach, Dragon Crest Hike, Ko Phi Phi) through the front desk. Staff were really friendly and answered all our questions. Very good hostel with a good social atmosphere. Would definitely recommend staying here!
This is easily one of the nicest hostels I’ve stayed at in a long time! Super clean, hot showers, friendly staff, and close to everything including beach and pier to islands. Also easy to rent scooters and book tours. The building used to be an elementary school with a playground and was converted into a hostel with renovated rooms, kitchen area, and bar. Highly recommend staying at Pak-Up Hostel when you visit Krabitown!
This hostel is brilliant. It's clean, has a wealth of communal areas & the staff are so helpful. Daily excursions are arranged by the hostel & all the facilities you need are offered. WiFi signal is excellent! Loved my stay - will be back again!
A great place to stay for young people, with helpful and friendly staff, and a chilled but lively vibe in the evenings - particularly in the bar. The bedrooms were spotless, with great bunk privacy and comfy mattresses, and the people I met there were generally sociable and keen to explore the area together. The fact that it’s a converted school is also a fun and unusual gimmick, with each bedroom an ex-classroom, appropriately named! One small note of interest: I found that Krabi Town itself was not the best place to stay location-wise in the Krabi area - although it’s a bit more expensive, Ao Nang is far more exciting and happening for young people (albeit more touristy) - especially if you want to take full advantage of the beach and adventure days like snorkelling, diving and island trips, many of which operate from there instead. I came to Krabi to do my PADI open water diving course, and was lucky that AquaVision Diving was able to pick me up from Krabi Town (about 25 mins’ drive from Ao Nang) - a diving company I HIGHLY recommend. All other companies I contacted seemed to suggest that they could not operate a transport service as it was too far away... I could, of course, have taken a scooter every morning, but it’s worth bearing in mind before you book that many of the main attractions in the Krabi area are not situated in Krabi Town itself, which may have an impact on your convenience.…
