We spent 3 nights at Pelican Cove Inn during August 2013. Nancy, the owner of this charming Bed and Breakfast, ensured that we had a gracious, comfortable stay. This B&B is meticulously clean and has a bright, warm, welcoming feel. Be sure to check out the beautiful gardens during your stay! Upon arrival, we received a friendly welcome, a tour... More

I can't say enough about this darling Bed and Breakfast. It is so cutely decorated and the breakfasts are amazing. Nancy is so sweet and helpful about things to do in the area. You can walk to the beach or to the little downtown section of this cute city in northern San Diego county. We stayed for 6 nights and... More

We were in the Newport Room for two nights. Nancy was very friendly and helpful. The location is good in that it is just blocks to the main part of town as well as to the ocean so you can walk over for sunset. Breakfast was tasty and certainly a great place to rest your head the next time you... More

Okay, not so secret now. This lovely B&B is my favorite place to stay when I return to my home town (sorry friends). I love the home like atmosphere with the in room fireplaces. You are greeted with a smile and feel right at home. I love Nancy's homemade breakfasts and afternoon cookies or snack. Another big bonus for this... More

My wife, kids, and I just enjoyed a great two nights at Pelican Cove. My kids are 7 and 9 and both had a great time. Nancy is great with the kids, and provides a really nice and warm place. Everything was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious. This was our first time there, but I... More

The BF wanted to revisit his favorite spots in and near San Diego and found this lovely property north of the city still on the coast. The first night, after a big storm, we could hear the ocean from two blocks away and left the window open all night. When we opened the door, a gas fireplace awaited us (it... More

This is a great place to stay! Nancy is awesome and makes such delicious breakfasts. We loved how close it was to the beach and the village of Carlsbad. We never had to drive anywhere. We will definitely be returning!

We can't say enough good things about our stay at Pelican Cove. The location is very convenient for both the beach and walking to the many local restaurants. The property itself is lovely. We chose one of the smaller rooms but there are so many outside sitting areas and the roof terrace so it didn't really matter. We loved having... More

Although this inn can be found under Bed and Breakfasts,, It is more like a boutique inn. Friends of mine stated they didn't like B & B's because they felt like they were staying in someone's home. You get the best of both worlds at Pelican Cove Inn. All room entrances are individually accessed front the outside. The breakfast parlor... More
