Lovely homely property close to the beach, and surrounded by the other beautiful homes of Carmel. The afternoon tea provided was a nice and very welcomed. The room (8) was small but perfectly clean and tidy, it also gave a lovely view of the sea and you could even hear the surf at night. I wish we could have stayed... More

What a gem! I highly recommend staying here if you want a quiet location very close to the beach! the location is just off the Scenic Road. Rooms are sparkling clean and the beds are incredibly comfortable. Cookies and tea in the late afternoon were such a treat!

We aren't usually bed and breakfast fans, but we have stayed here five or six times! Ask for room 5 or 6. A friend recommended it and we take advantage of Carmel whenever we are nearby. There is an easy walk to town, but the inn is on a nice and quiet street. Beautiful view across the bay to Pebble... More

This inn is pleasant and comfortable, just a block off the water - an easy walk to the beach. It has seventeen rooms but seems quiet, both at breakfast and tea time. Large living room with fireplace going all day long. Excellent breakfast served by a friendly, efficient staff person. Our room was small but clean and comfortable and we... More

I recently stayed at this inn for a wedding, reserving 3 rooms for 2 nights months in advance. A month before our visit, I needed to cancel one room for one night. I religiously adhered to all the cancellation policies and was shocked when the hotel suddenly invented a two-night minimum that appeared nowhere on any of the confirmation emails.... More

Great location away from the centre of town, close enough to stroll the beach and totally unwind! Rooms were spotless and beds are sooooo comfortable! Had a great recommendation for dinner from the lady who checked us in, fabulous 1 night stay, would come back for longer next time!

I looked at reviews when planning my stay in Carmel and came across the Sandpiper Inn. We were not disappointed! The staff made us welcome from the moment we arrived and even reserved the restaurants that we went to on the two nights we stayed in Carmel. The Sandpiper is in a great location within easy walking distance of the... More

I stayed here with my boyfriend during a west coast trip. I would normally do pros and cons but there are only good things to say about this place. Carmel itself is stunning and this was a perfect way to feel truly part if it all. The beds, food, staff. Everything was just perfection Thankyou 💖💖

This Inn was a happy find for my new husband &I during our honeymoon! The hotel we were planning to stay at didn't make the cut once we got there, and we had trouble finding another hotel with any available rooms. The Sandpiper Inn was a blessing! Our room (#17) was quite, clean and spacious. At night, the ocean waves... More

We enjoyed our stay at the Sandpiper Inn. We thought it was well located (a two minute walk from the beach and about a 20 minute walk into downtown Carmel) but it might be a bit far from town for guests who don't want to do much walking. Our room was comfortable and quiet, located outside of the main guesthouse.... More
