This is a lovely classic Inn in a residential neighborhood a block from the beach and walkway to town right above beach. Close to all the goodies in Carmel but not in the tourist center. Delightful breakfast - great quiche served by the hostess. Pleasant and helpful staff. Good value.

We spent 2 nights in room #4. It was very cozy with a fireplace and a distant partial view of the ocean. Very comfortable place. Had quiche for breakfast with fruit and coffee. Played chess and cards while waiting for dinner reservations. Overall, it's a nice place to stay and enjoy Carmel. They recommended room #5 or #11 for next...

We had a terrific stay at the Sandpiper Inn in Carmel. The staff were super helpful, especially when there was a brief power outage in the early evening. Although we were told by many businesses in town that a power outage was unusual, the staff at the inn were well prepared and gave all the guests battery operated lanterns. The...

This is basically a huge house converted to premium B&B. I wasn't too sure when I booked because price is still high. However, the place passed my expectations. Why? - Location is great, Less than 1 min walking to the sea - Service is great, above all the old woman at Breakfast. - Rooms are actually big and very comfortable....

Having wanted for a long time to have a couple of nights in Carmel, I am sorry my selection of hotel let the whole experience down. Firstly, the Sandpiper is not easy to locate especially if the GPS in the rental is eccentric. Secondly, there is little or no disabled access and although I managed to struggle in with my...

Lovely homely property close to the beach, and surrounded by the other beautiful homes of Carmel. The afternoon tea provided was a nice and very welcomed. The room (8) was small but perfectly clean and tidy, it also gave a lovely view of the sea and you could even hear the surf at night. I wish we could have stayed...

What a gem! I highly recommend staying here if you want a quiet location very close to the beach! the location is just off the Scenic Road. Rooms are sparkling clean and the beds are incredibly comfortable. Cookies and tea in the late afternoon were such a treat!

We aren't usually bed and breakfast fans, but we have stayed here five or six times! Ask for room 5 or 6. A friend recommended it and we take advantage of Carmel whenever we are nearby. There is an easy walk to town, but the inn is on a nice and quiet street. Beautiful view across the bay to Pebble...

This inn is pleasant and comfortable, just a block off the water - an easy walk to the beach. It has seventeen rooms but seems quiet, both at breakfast and tea time. Large living room with fireplace going all day long. Excellent breakfast served by a friendly, efficient staff person. Our room was small but clean and comfortable and we...

I recently stayed at this inn for a wedding, reserving 3 rooms for 2 nights months in advance. A month before our visit, I needed to cancel one room for one night. I religiously adhered to all the cancellation policies and was shocked when the hotel suddenly invented a two-night minimum that appeared nowhere on any of the confirmation emails....
