Rooms aren't much to talk about but when does that matter when you're in such a beautiful idyllic location. Very sedate, peaceful. Amenities are minimal, {TV, kettle, toaster, iron, refrigerator, wifi, fireplace, bed, shower}. So quiet.

We were a couple and two teenagers. The cottage is very cozy and comfortable, with two bedrooms, a bathroom, and a living room, where there are a refrigerator, a microwave and a coffeemaker. The hotel has parking lot, wifi and breakfast for free, which is served at the cottage, in little individual baskets.

We enjoyed this little place. Very good location and central to all the restaurants and attractions. It is not fancy at all but has everything you need for a short stay. The staff was friendly and helpful. This is a good option for a family traveling the coast.

I was afraid of staying here after reading all the reviews. The price fitted our budget, so we chose Carmel Resort Inn. To my surprise, though the grounds look as if the resort is abandoned, the persons at check in were extremely nice and friendly, the cottage it self looked exactly as the resort's webpage and everything worked perfectly.. The...

For the price of the hotel in Carmel by the Sea this place is adequate. When I first walked in I wondered what on earth I had done! I wasn't sure I had made a good decision and contemplated on going elsewhere. The redeeming factor was the bed was comfortable, other than that I am afraid I can't say too...

If I could give it less than a 1 I would. No air street in cottage blocked with road construction very noisy. No offer to move us. Cannot stay in room because of jack hammer and beeping front end loader. Sitting in office to be away from the noise. Desk clerk said they did not let her know they were...

See the posted photo, need I say more? Open hole full of cobwebs and caked on dust where the bathroom light is. There's barely any more water pressure to the shower, so little that you freeze while trying to shower! We found hair in our sheets, the towels were stored on top of the toilet, and the place looked overall...

We stayed here during the car show weekend in Monterey. Because that is a big event, this was the only hotel available. My husband saw that the reviews weren't very good, but because of the cost (I jut got the credit card bill and it was $1200 for the weekend) he thought it couldn't possibly be that bad! Well, it...

Ok this is the moment when you walk in your room and your husband and son look at you and say... The reviews were ok on this place? So I forgot to check I was going so fast- one review is right- you do get what you pay for in Carmel, and Carmel is expensive and this place isn't so......

I've been reading the reviews. Come on people, reality check. Carmel is an expensive place to stay in as it's a tourism mecca. In comparison, Carmel Resort Inn offers more affordable accommodation. I was pleasantly surprised. It's spacious, our cabin was clean and had everything we needed. It's a short and pleasant walk from the centre of town. The breakfast...
