Great place. Friendly staff, clean comfortable rooms. Location is spot on. Only suggestion would be a cooked breakfast. If claiming to be a B&B, the second B (usually) means cooked. Well it does for nearly all other parts of the world. Croissants and fruit doesn't really cut it. Breakfast room tiny. All that said, very happy with the stay.

We just completed a 10-day swing in California and this was our nicest lodging. There were four adults in room #51, which is a spacious and lovely-appointed two-bedroom, two-bath suite with a full kitchen. It is not cheap ($900, tax included for two nights), but we all felt it was well worth the money. I don't think we could stay...

We stayed in the large 3 bedroom Stephensen House and it was just what we needed for our family. The house has everything you need and the location is great- a short walk to the main shops in Carmel and close to a lot of good restaurants. We really enjoyed our stay here. Unfortunately I cannot give 5 stars due...

Not a bad choice if you pay half of what we were taken for. Building(s) typical for Carmel but amenities just don't match the price. For $200 (weekdays) I expected better than a bagel and coffee for breakfast at a "Bed & Breakfast". We could hear neighbor coming up the stairs late at night and then her entire phone conversation...

Found this wonderful B&B by recommendation of another hotel which was full. The front desk clerk, Augustina was so helpful and accommodating. Our room was a spacious suite. Very clean and comfortable. The Briarwood was very close to restaurants and shops, so we were able to explore This quaint town. We would definitely visit here again.

Rooms vary in size, from quite small to spacious suites and all have been converted from prior homes or apartments. But, even the smallest room has a king bed and is comfortable for a couple. Furnishings are tasteful and comfortable. Amenities are all modern: Bathrooms (small rooms are shower only); Flat-screen HD TV; Free WiFi; Coffee maker; Etc. The free...

As far as bed and breakfasts are concerned I would give this 2 stars because our room was tiny! There was such limited space and the bathroom was so small, I couldn't shave my legs in the shower. Out neighbors really liked their room and said it was roomy and breezy. It was very hot and stuffy in room #45....

BUYER BEWARE!! I've been a returning customer of the hotel for the last seven years. BUT the treatment I've received the last couple of times I've stayed has prompted this to be my last. There is NO consideration for loyalty at all, much less honesty. I paid top price, (almost $900.00) for two nights!! (Outrageous) for my stay while my...

Dear Previous Guest, We are very sorry about any miscommunication that recently occurred. We had a living social voucher so the price was excellent for Carmel. The location was very near downtown and we enjoyed walking around, dining, and drinks. The inn was a bit dated however our room was spacious and clean. The bathroom a bit small but it served the purpose. George was especially accommodating and friendly. The continental breakfast was...

Rating: ½ Star We stayed in this B&B for one night and although the room and location were more than acceptable, the actions and responses of the management have left a sour taste that will prevent any return. We should have had the first clue when we were in their reception and witnessed a very upset customer and his wife...

We are glad to know you enjoyed your stay at the Briarwood Inn and that the room and accommodations were more than pleasant! We do apologize for the amount of time it took for us to find the error, however this is a very rare occurrence and the person working the desk that day was not aware of the procedure...
