We stayed at the Carmel Lodge in November. It is only two blocks to Ocean Ave. where the main shops are located. It is also an easy walk to the many restaurants in Carmel and down to the ocean. We stayed in the Premium King room, which was upstairs on street. The room was quite spacious with enough room to...

We have stayed in many of the north of Ocean small hotels in Carmel. This one stacks up in the middle. We were in room 26, which is a nice large 2nd floor king on a corner surrounded by trees. It does not have any views, but this is not unusual for these in-town small hotels. It has vaulted ceilings...

Free parking at a hotel is what I look for because that's necessary in such towns as well as clean rooms and great customer service. The bed in the Queen's guest room was very comfy and the sheets crispy clean. I wish I had gotten a double bed but I was trying to get an inexpensive deal for the weekend....

Had booked one night on our tour along the PCH. Loved the town/area so much we stayed a second night and forfeited part of our next nights hotel charge...:( Location is awesome as it's right in the middle of town; an easy walk to everything you need. Rates were reasonable for Carmel. The 2 rooms that our two couples had...

The Lodge is well situated in town with the beach at the end of the street. In general, Carmel is an expensive town to stay in. That said, the Carmel Lodge was just adequate. The room was small and uncomfortable to move around in. The bathroom was so outdated that I didn't want to use the shower. It's a two...

I've been staying here for years, it's a little old and frumpy. No way to charge your phone, but very pleasant and comfortable. Great downtown location. Blazing fast wifi! Excellent parking and very close to downtown and suburb restaurants.

Basic and clean hotel. The room was big enough, the bathroom is small but it was clean. There is free parking and wifi. The service was very friendly. They bring you a small breakfast (coffee or tea, juice and a pastry) to the room. For one night is more than enough. The village is cute with small shops.

Chose this hotel as the price was reasonable and we were only staying in Carmel for a couple of nights before moving on since we were on our honeymoon trip. Had no issues locating the hotel as its located right in the centre of Carmel and literally a 2 min walk to the main high street and a 10 minute...

The Carmel Lodge was just the perfect place for a quick nite in Carmel. From the friendly welcoming staff to the uber comfy bed to the complimentary room service of coffee and lite breakfast-- oh and the price wasn't too shabby either-- we loved our stay. The location allowed us to use limited time efficiently as well! Highly suggest!!

An average motel style hotel in a very expensive 'Village' The room was good and bed comfortable however no fridge, coffee/tea maker or microwave. Breakfast is bought to the room, you select the time and was pastries, one each, fresh orange juice, tea or coffee in paper cups and fresh fruit, our fruit was fresh strawberries. So OK for us...
