During a recent trip to the Bay area for work, I had the opportunity to stay an extra day and play Pebble Beach. So instead of driving the 2hrs down from the Bay in the morning, I decided to find a place in Carmel the night before my round of golf. With my mind far more on golf, I decided...

A bit far from Ocean Ave. the main street for shopping and eating. However, we chose the hotel because it is in a quiet residential area and very close to the beach. This has not been our first stay at The Colonial Terrace.

This hotel is small and pleasantly retro. Located one block from beach and walking distance from shops and restaurants. We never got in the car all weekend! Very comfy bed and very clean. Pleasant outdoor sitting areas. Great value.

Such an amazing and comfortable place to stay. Close to the ocean and all that Carmel has to offer. I would highly recommend this to anyone. Carmel is a beautiful place to spend a vacation and it is close to Monterey

Pay more get more Grounds and location very nice. Service aloof and stand offish. Rooms dated and crowded. One block to beach in a very nice neighborhood. About a mile or two to restaurants and shops. You could do worse. You could do better.

We were on our way to San Franscico and decided to stop at Carmel. We falled under the charme of the hotel and decided to come back 3 days later on our way back to L.A. Looking for the next time as soon as possible !!

We stayed at The Colonial Terrace after being rerouted on our road trip up the West Coast. We didn't expect anything prior to our arrival so were pleasantly surprised when we found the hotel to be beautifully picturesque and only a minute away from the beach. The reception saw us in to our room an hour before check-in, after a...

My family and I recently stayed at this B&B with a charming New England feel surrounded by lushly landscaped, English countryside gardens. My husband and I had a junior suite overlooking the sea. During good weather, one might open the balcony doors and let the sweet music of incoming waves waft into this suite with dining table and kitchen. The...

Love this place. They treat you great, always have fresh cookies waiting for you! Walking distance to the beach and the shops, but far enough away to be quiet. Breakfast is small, but very good. Fresh coffee always available

The location of the hotel was excellent, but I would rate the actual hotel as average. There wasn't anything exceptionally nice about the room we stayed in. The intention was to get away for a night and just relax without doing a whole lot. The cable in the room didn't work very well as it went in and out of...
