Stayed here twice in July 2013. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Parking abundant. Chester isn't a great town for dining, but that isn't the motel's fault. Tech issues here were a disappointment: the WiFi only works in one or two rooms closest to the hotel lobby; the satellite TV is so difficult to navigate i pretty much gave up the...

We stayed here while visiting our son who works at Lassen Volcanic National Park. We were honestly worried that this would be a "Bates Motel" experience. We were pleasantly surprised to find the room very clean and the staff welcoming and accommodating. There are not a lot of frills - no cosmetics to speak of, small TV. But there is...

We stayed for two nights in July. I was a little worried after reading a couple of not-so-positive reviews since I'm picky about motels, but I found that most of the complaints were either trivial or inaccurate (at least for our experience). The place is ultra clean, the bed very comfy, there was internet access in the room for my...

Stayed for a night in July. Hotel is in Chester, near Mt. Lassen and Lake Almanor. Place looks to be very new. The rooms are large and very clean. It's two stories and right across the street from a grocery store. A couple of restaurants are within a short walking distance. The real only downside is the TV's are micro...

Insulation between rooms very poor. While the people in the next room were not rowdy, they kept us awake just having a conversation. The rooms are large and very clean. The tv is so small you can not read the scroll from bed. There are not any lights to read in bed and there is only a straight back desk...

Here are some challenges you will face if you stay here: a) plastic-covered mattresses make it difficult to sleep comfortably, you will wake up in a ball of sweat unless you have the A/C set for very cool, b) the flat-panel TV is only a tiny 14 inches, impossible to watch, c) our bathroom smelled like urine, d) the toilet...

I'm pretty cheap so this was a little more than I normally pay, but very reasonable for the area. Convenient parking outside the door to my room on a paved parking lot (both are important to me as I travel by motorcycle), tiny town (which I love) and the room was VERY clean. The shower was great (a good shower...

It was noisy, as there is little insulation between rooms. The neighbor talked on his cell at all hours. I couldn't sleep. There was plastic on the bed. I went to the office in the morning for shampoo fory wife and got a cold reception. I wouldn't go back!

The place was much like a motel 6. Except that there were no towel racks and the towels were in a waste basket and the tv screen was 18"! I AM NOT KIDDING! They said they had high def tv when I called ahead but neglected to say that I would need binoculars to watch it. I mean, really! Flat...

On our way to Lassen Volcanic NP in September, 2012, we had great stay at the Antlers Motel. The room was large, clean and was a great value for the money. The motel had everything you would need, in like new condition, including Dish TV, coffee stuff, a great shower and a table and chair and access to an ice...
