We went with another three families. The only good thing is it was close to beach. It was less than 3 minutes. The front counter was quite good although their English was not enough to communicate! The bad things are: 1. the terrible food . Breakfast only got three options - low quality fried rice, fried instant noodles, and some bread with strawberry jams. no taste and no vegs. when I asked for vegs, it was charged! 2. poor location to other facilities far away from activities - abt 2hrs drive to some activities such as archery, shooting , etc 3. not suitable for families - nothing much, no pool. Only got kayaking in the sea which we dare not to try 4. pillow is not clean. door knot was working properly not worth it. do not think of saving money as it was not convenient to go other places. Need to pay more for transport. Nothing to play with at all

Stayed at Serumpun Padi only for one night the area is very beauty surrounded by trees and the beach. The staff is very helpful and for everything we need they could help. their English is ok The food from the restaurant was OKm but most of the things showed they didn't have. The beach is very beautiful but its a little bit dirty in some areas but the water is nice and warm. The standard bangalouws are very appeal but thei very poor on the inside (floors, beds and bedcloths) it could be better In averal its a very nice place to stay for a weekend escape

We had problems with them even before we arrived, as we tried to contact them to find out where they were, all contact email addresses failed and no communication to help their guests. The location on Google is wrong and this resort (term used loosely) is much further north, approx. 60km from PJ Pinang. On arrival we where shown to our delux room, which atually was a large garden shed, and as it turned a large garden shed in poor condition. Don't get me wrong we have stayed in wooden huts before and had a great time, but never ones in such bad condition and so expensive. In Laos we had one similar very comfortable, a little electrically heated shower, whilst here it was very low flow cold water and the holder on the wall had been broken for some time. In the presentation they said it had TV, a small box that is broken does not constitute as a TV. The electrics are dangerous and got a shock off them a couple of times, so be very careful. The floorboards are lifted and the funniest thing was seeing single sheets being used on a double bed, only the top half. The resturant menu was the worst I have seen a few chicken dishes only, if you want western or veggie you will go hungry. Be aware once you are here you will be cut off, even though the hotel has internet conection, guest are not offered wifi or direct conection, in fact they are told to use the resort 5km down the road, we also had no phone connection. The reason for comming here was the beautful beaches, they also dissapointed covered in rubbish and in particular broken glass. So much potential such an appualing resort, my advice stay away to avoid dissapointment. For those who like their hotels to be clean, not for you, first clean night before leaving, and judging by the debris under the bed some parts have not been cleaned for years. You will also have to share with the local wildlife although roaches don't bite many of the flying things do.
