We stayed for 2 nights at the Fallon Hotel, in one of the front rooms with a balcony overlooking Parrott's Ferry Road. This restored hotel has an authentic feel to it. The rooms have just toilet and wash basin in them. The shower is down the hall and is communal, just the way it would have been during the Gold...

We stepped back in time for 2 nights in Columbia and the Fallon Hotel was a great place to stay. Great period room with the addition of efficient (and quiet) aircon. Spent an evening at the theatre watching 'The State Fair' and lost the kids for hours while they panned for gold.

We spent 2 nights and had 3 rooms, a beautiful hotel. We had rooms 1 , 2, and 15. Arrived late and met a warm friendly woman, Kathy. Of course you hear or read people stating it is haunted, however, there is absolutely nothing frightening about this beautiful hotel. There are a few games on a shelf in the main...

My husband reserved a room here for a two day stay. Upon entering the hotel to the front desk, we were greeted by a gentleman dresses in 1800's attire. He was polite and truly welcoming. He went out of his way to educate us on the area, the times of events and the locations of "must see" attractions. THEN we...

Best play I have ever, EVER seen! I cannot offer enough kudos to to the cast in this magnificent, yet tragic life of one of America's greats. So wonderfully done, the show was absolutely perfect...the acting, the music, the historic setting in this wonderful old mining town.

We are so happy to have Sierra Repertory Theater located in the same building as the hotel. Convenient for guests to see a show and walk upstairs to their room! They put on fantastic shows throughout the year. We hope you'll visit again soon!

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Fallon Hotel. Since the State Park service has taken it over, the service is excellent. They just replaced the mattresses and pillows, so the bed was very comfortable. My wife and I saw some very strange goings on during the night, it was very exciting! We stayed in room six and during...

Rented 3 historically & well decorated rooms, two upstairs and one downstairs for a family reunion run by state of California. Quaint rooms are small, with no TV's, but comfortable with good beds pillows, linens, central AC, very clean and the hotel quiet. I had such a good time in Columbia, CA in June I decided to go back in July and try out the Fallon Hotel and take in the show at the Fallon Theater. The Fallon Hotel was originally a boardinghouse built in 1852 but was rebuilt many times due to the fires that kept destroying large parts of Columbia throughout...

Columbia is a preserved/restored Gold Rush town with original buildings, wood sidewalks, a horse-drawn stagecoach, two bars and a brewery, a theater (for plays), an [in]famous candy store, a gold-panning shack on the creek, an old cemetery, and many other delights. The Fallon is a wonderful 1850s hotel with authentic furnishings. The rooms are lovely and extremely clean; good beds...
