The hotel had very nice owners and took care of very kindly. The rooms were comfortable and a good deal. They had tv, air conditioner and nice accommodations. The hotel is located in the Columbia goal mining area and is off of a somewhat major road. Easy to find.

After reading several good reviews we decided to stay here while seeing a play at the Fallon House. What a surprise! Walking distance to the theatre and all downtown Columbia. Owners were very nice and accomodating. You can see they have put a lot of work into the place. Very clean. Definately staying here again whenever we are in the...

When planning a trip from a state away I "try" to find comfort, safety, and a place that feels like home. When planning a longer trip, with a few hotel stays, this becomes more challenging! (reading reviews, looking up sites etc) I did the same with the Columbia Inn Motel Having already been in three hotels this trip it was...

This Motel was wonderful. The price was affordable. The room was very clean. The sheets smelled fresh. The owners were both friendly and really helpful concerning restaurants recommendations and local info. I felt safe and enjoyed my visit. Recommended! :)

Stayed here the night before Columbia College orientation and loved it. They were so friendly and helpful at the front desk. The room was extremely comfortable, clean and neat. So glad there was a fridge in the room. Having gone there on short notice and very late at night, I appreciated the safe welcome feeling for the girls I had...

I stayed here for 2 weeks finishing a travel therapy job in Sonora, CA - a ten minute commute. The price was better than extended stay accommodations in Sonora and allow a dog. It's not the Hilton, but owner Rob has done a great job renovating and will continue to do improvements. As a single female, he kept a close...

One block from the historic gold town state park. Pulled in at 10pm and the friendly owner, Rob Goreham, took time to show my kids how to pan for gold and taught them about gold nuggets and pay dirt. The room rate was reasonable and the room was clean. Very safe neighborhood. The bath towels were very soft and smelled...

My fiancee and I spent New Year's Eve 2015 at the Columbia Inn. The new owner, Rob, has really done a superb job in upgrading this Motel. I had stayed here years ago and it was fairly old and in need of repair. We were really surprised and pleased with the obvious care and pride they have taken to refurbish...

This is a belated review after two stays this past summer, and it was a breath of fresh air to see the enthusiastic new managers and the little things they had done to upgrade the place. With the new owners, Dennis and Doris, this place has done a "180." A reviewer in July 2011 slammed this place and said it...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Rob and his fiancé Cheryl have put a lot of hard work, dedication and passion into the Columbia Inn Motel to make it a positive experience. We enjoy meeting and getting to enjoy our guests personally. Our goal is to make everyone feel at home while visiting ours. Rob served 14 years in the Air Force and has had several ventures since. One of which is 49er Mining Supplies, that he opened in 2001 and is currently located adjacent to the motel office. Rob's knowledge of mining is vast and he loves sharing with all. We invite you to come to the Columbia Inn Motel located in the heart of the Mother Lode and take a step back in time. Be sure you take time to visit the historic Columbia State Park which is a short walking distance from us. ... more   less
