Enjoyed my stay here. The proprietors were friendly and accommodating. The room was very clean, though dated. My biggest issue was the exterior noise. Large trucks going in and out at the adjacent business, all hours. I realize the motel owners can't control that much, but it eliminated a restful sleep.

With 3 grand sons (age 6, 7 & 8) in tow, I decided to visit Columbia for some summer fun in the foothills. After reading some reviews, I booked with Columbia Inn and I couldn't have been happier with the choice. We even stayed an extra night just because we felt so comfortable there. We received a 2 bedroom for...

We were on our way up to Lake Alpine, but the drive from Orange County was just to much for one day. The answer was to stop for the night in Columbia, an awesome old mining town from the 1850's, located at the base of the Sierra's. We chose the Columbia Inn as it was within walking distance from town....

For reference we made this trip in mid-August 2014. The building is older but well maintained. The owners recently replaced all the mattresses and bed clothes. The rooms are very homey and inviting. Our room was cooled by a window A/C unit at the back of the room where it would not blow directly over the bed. It did a...

My family, 2 adults and 2 kids, stayed here for fourth of July weekend. We really enjoyed the location best of all. It is centrally located to all the places we were wanting to visit. The motel itself is fairly priced and accommodated our needs well. We were in a suite with 2 separate bedrooms so the kids could stay...

Columbia Inn Motel was a great find. 4 reasons. 1. Inexpensive & clean 2. We had one of the 2 bedrooms, which makes it nice for families 3. The pool, while small, goes up to 8 feet, perfect for the kids! 4. The choice of dvd's to borrow was great (for kids & adults)

My stay here was for overnight lodging only while my days were spent in a camp nearby, reuniting with lots of friends. I really wish I could have spent more time at the motel; it is a really nice place. Great décor, friendly, helpful staff; all you have to do is ask and they have it or will do it....

The towels at this place are as good as what you would expect at a Hilton or Sheraton. Soft and fluffy. The television service is not good at all. No sports channels! There was plenty to watch on the many cable stations to which they subscribe but no ESPN, Fox Sports, etc. The room was large and Spartan. The bathroom...

Excellent property, in keeping with the character of this historic area. The room was well furnished and in room 29 there are two bedrooms, we had just booked a twin bed room but were given this one as their best, being there for three nights. It's well equipped with TV, fridge, microwave, table and chairs in the front room, as...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Rob and his fiancé Cheryl have put a lot of hard work, dedication and passion into the Columbia Inn Motel to make it a positive experience. We enjoy meeting and getting to enjoy our guests personally. Our goal is to make everyone feel at home while visiting ours. Rob served 14 years in the Air Force and has had several ventures since. One of which is 49er Mining Supplies, that he opened in 2001 and is currently located adjacent to the motel office. Rob's knowledge of mining is vast and he loves sharing with all. We invite you to come to the Columbia Inn Motel located in the heart of the Mother Lode and take a step back in time. Be sure you take time to visit the historic Columbia State Park which is a short walking distance from us. ... more   less
