We found the Penon Blanco Lookout online, and chose it because of their proximity to Yosemite, but we would definitely return just for this fabulous B&B and the beautiful setting it is in. A warm welcome, very comfortable room, delicious breakfast, attentive hosts, all make Penon Blanco a really fantastic place to stay. We slept in the Lookout room, with...

We have stayed at countless B&B's and this one rates right up at the top. if you are looking to get away from it all, this is the place. it is very secluded at the top of a mountain, the views of the lake were wonderful. The hosts were great, a little quriky, but that added to the charm. The...

When we travel without kids we like to stay at B&B, and this was a nice place. Good views of the lake, well kept and clean B&B and nice roomy accomodations with a fridge in the room. The host is a bit particular, but is friendly. We were out at Yosemite most of the time, so we spent less time...

My husband and I spent two wonderful nights at this cozy B&B. We were looking for an accommodation close to the Yosemite Park, but it being summer we had no luck with that and ended up with the reservation at Penon Blanco Lookout! I always had this dream of staying in a log cabin on a short vacation and I'd...

Cosy rooms with stunning views of the lake. All 3 rooms have different styles with high beds. One suite is with fireplace and direct access to the private terrace. Margi and Wolfgang are great hosts; breakfast was delicious with new ideas and details every morning. Furthermore, all guests have the possibility to use a guest kitchen. It is absolutey worth...

Fabulous B&B. Margi & Wolfgang were excellent hosts. We had an excellent view from our room. Breakfast meal was wonderful for the entire 3 days we stayed. The room is decorated with the theme..."John Muir Suite", nice and clean. We had an excellent stay and we are sure to come back. Thank you Margi & Wolfgang.

This B&B is located on a lovely, high, and scenic view property overlooking Lake McClure and the Sierra foothills. We made a reservation at 1:00 AM and needed to cancel just 7 hours later. I understand there will be a cancellation penalty, but when we talked to the owner, she lied and said that it wasn't up to her and we had to get our refund through the online booking agency. The online booking agency said they felt the...

Complaining about a cancellation policy is one thing. Accusing the owner of the business of dishonesty and lying is a different story. 1.) The booking in question was not made for a couple. It was made for a party of three adults. Later during the first phone call it was disclosed to us that there would be in addition two...

Beautifully appointed rooms. Great attention to detail. The view of the countryside is spectacular. Very quiet and very comfortable. The inn keepers are really wonderful people. The full breakfast was delicious. Savory Thanksgiving dinner. We have stayed at Penon Blanco several times and I am sure we will return again. A very warm and cozy home away from home!
