Dear Marriott team i check in at Rayong Marriott hotel last weekend 28 Apr 2023 by using government project Roataewduaykai package i booked sea view room. i have some comment to add to hotel by this following 1. Hotel is under 5 stars hotel 2. the service need to improve there is no welcome drink serve to the customer when customer check in there are 2 tanks at front i went there and service myself. The water is not cold. this was not first impression 3. there is birthday cake at the room with the balls this is Ok. But the birth day cake for 5 stars hotel should serve at least 1 pound instead of 1 of small pieces (this is the birthday at the date check in and also i am the club mariott membership 4. there are a lot of dusts the back of TV 5. if the hotel have a lot of group customer check in I think the Hotel should have some special complementary to others customer stay at the hotel because the group is not small group at this time there are almost 500 people joining the Siminar and big party with the music until 22.00 pm there a a lot of noises to brother other customer especially my room i stayed at 502 6. breakfast food is not delicious i think should consider Chef and improve the taste of food again. 7. the coffee serve inside the room for this level (sea front) should change to capsule coffee instead of instant coffee with sugar and coffeemate (the grade same as 3 stars hotel) 8. i have been U hotel which level at 3-4 hotel at Jomtien they was serving coffee maker machine with capsule already. 9. the shoes at the room provided should provide the new shoes not reuse shoes 10. the alcohol gel are not serving for example in front of the lift there are the gel tank but no Gel and inside the elevator there is a tank but no Gel i think if you don't want to provide gel it is better that take the tank out. i just have some comments for your consideration sorry that there are a lot of comment from me. I would like 5 stars hotel in Thailand all can improve with my comment in order to create the first impression for the Tourists. additional i informed my Club Mariott officer she was inform to the hotel but also no feed back no answers at all Just wonder that Mariott Rayong hotel is still at 5 level ? And until now I still did not get any email feed back from the hotel. Supawan Go to Tripadvisor | Privacy Policy | Contact Us

Unfortunately we did not have a very good experience at the Rayong Marriott Resort and Spa. We have stayed at other Marriott Resorts in Thailand in Hua Hin and Phuket and they were much much better. I think this hotel is still trying to recover from covid as the service was pretty much nonexistent. Pros: - Our ocean view room was very nice. It was quiet and we slept very well. - The swimming pools are huge. There is one that is right in front of the beach that is right next to the Kids Club. The views are nice at this pool and it was quiet and relaxing. There is another even bigger pool that has a couple slides that the kids enjoyed. This pool also has a beach bar where you can order food and drinks. The layout of this pool is a little awkward as the deck area is pretty narrow so there is not a lot of room for lounge chairs. - Kids Club. Pretty standard with the usual activities. - The beach is pretty nice but this Marriott does not put any chairs, umbrellas or service on the beach. - Soccer area. The grounds of this hotel are really big and they have a large grassy area with 2 soccer goals. If your kids play soccer they will enjoy this. Cons: - The service at this hotel is the worst we have ever experienced at a Marriott. The employees spoke very little English which made it even more challenging. Most of them looked confused ever time we ask for something. They all could benefit from additional training to bring it up to Marriott standards. - Service at the swimming pools was nonexistent. There was nobody to greet us or ask if we wanted a towel, drink or food. We had to get up and go find someone every time we wanted something. We ordered a kids menu hot dog and hamburger at the pool bar and it took over an hour to get our food and they got the order wrong. They ran out of towels and ice water everyday and we had to ask them to provide more. - At the main restaurant for breakfast nobody came to the table to ask if we wanted coffee or anything. At night in the main restaurant they offered a buffet or a limited selection of entrees. I think they did it this way because they just don't have the trained staff to provide servers for each table. - Food quality was just average. Nothing special. - There are some areas that could use some updating mostly around the pools and landscaping. The walkway between the 2 swimming pools is strange as there seems to be a couple private residences in this area. There was a big pile a trash that they just left out there that nobody remove for the 3 days we were there and we had to walk by this everyday. There is also a big condo development right next to the Marriott that looks a little run down and they do not block access so people can walk right in to the Marriott. Bottom Line: Don't waste your money going to this hotel or to Rayong. Go to the Hua Hin Marriott Resort and Spa or the Phuket Marriott Resort and Spa Nai Yang Beach. Both of these properties are really nice and the service and food are great.

This hotel has so much potential but i feel it's not on par with other Marriott hotels tgat I gave stayed. Check in was fast and the lobby design is great with sea view but all the upholster needs replacement esp. at lobby lounge. All the sofas just look old and unclean. The room is comfortable and clean. The swimming pool design is great but the bar location is just off. The space next to the beach is not fully utilized and the beach bar is close. We had all every meals inside the hotel and the service and the western menus are below par. The staff are all nice and friendly and try best but they are not properly trained and did not deliver 5 star service. Food tastes and quaulity needs improvement, we sent back our food twice during 2 nights stay and this never happened at any Marrioty properties in Thailand or anywhere. First time pasta was overcooked and second time chicken was just sticky. Breakfast is good enough. The landscape and fish tank are in needs of a revamp. Overall we had an okay stay because the room is in great condition still but there's really no other factors that would make us wanna go back.

The services are less than Marriott standard. I stayed 3 nights with a pet. Very disappointed services. Room not ready on check-in day… wait until 4pm. If you want any help, prepare 2-3 hours to get things you requested.

A great weekend getaway for the Family that is within driving distance from Bangkok - we enjoyed every second we stayed on this property. The Resort was full & beach was bustling with activity & yet we had a great time at the Pool and a fabulous sunset at the beach. We will be back again but if possible avoid the weekends as seems post Covid all resorts & hotels are so full on weekends. If you do go on a weekend then it is advisable to make bookings for the Restaurants or the SPA as well in advance to avoid frustration later. We could not make any reservations for the Fish Bar @the beach due to heavy bookings and even C-Salt was only offering Buffet Dinner. Anyway, we did enjoy a few drinks at the Bar and a Pizza as Room Service. The Morning Breakfast at almost all Marriott resorts is a sumptuous affair & this resort is no exception. Enjoyed the Breakfast but felt it was crowded and the associates handling the operations were simply overwhelmed with so many customers. Overall a great experience thanks to the well-trained associates who managed our expectations very well under a very trying & busy weekend.

I normally stay at my work nearby work place but it closes down on the weekend and there was also a small meeting scheduled. Therefore, Marriott Rayong. My booking was for a sea-view room and I received, I had an e-mail with the booking confirmation stating that. At check-in I was told I had reserved a (cheaper by about 25$) mountain-view room. No possibility to repair that, a multitude of ‘reasons’ given (the contingent for the rate (?) was unfortunately exhausted (b) my reservation cannot be accessed right now and so on). Promise to be ‘soon’ moved to the booked room type turned to be out meaning 6pm before the check-out day, a bit meaningless therefore: At the end I was effectively overcharged a bit (they used the sea-view rate for the last day). By the way, I have Bonvoy gold which includes upgrade (if possible) and later check-out (which was granted). At check-out the receipt was also too high by $50 for other reasons but they quickly repaired that. As mentioned in many reviews before: Everybody was friendly. Hardware is old but nice, restaurant manager and staff make a very good impression. Hotel was on the expensive side (they have many Indian weddings right now) but it is not always like that.

Stayed for 3 nights in February. Overall, the facilities were very good and we had an enjoyable stay. The room was well equipped with very comfortable bed and pillows. The fitness center is a separate building with few aerobic machines, but not a great selection of weight lifting equipment. The pool is very big, with a number of chairs, umbrellas and good towel service. The breakfast was very good, with many selections. What made the meal enjoyable was the great service by Sil (food and beverage manager) and his team, including Beer and Mam. They accommodated a special request one day which was great and they remembered it the next day without being asked. We ate one dinner there and it was very good. Want to also acknowledge Rotbenz at the front desk for the great check in experience. One thing that potential guests should consider is that the hotel facility occasionally hosts big wedding parties and closes some facilities to the non wedding guests for specific periods. Although Marriott mentioned that there is a special event for certain days of our stay when I made the booking, I did not realize that this will result in unavailability of certain venues at certain times, and although the staff was receptive, the overall attention of the staff naturally seemed to be focused on the wedding parties and their guests. Marriott should be more transparent with this information for the folks making the reservation who are not associated with the wedding.

Absolutely pathetic service by the staff and management of the resort. Especially Supaporn Nammontree, who is the duty manager. To do a simple room cleaning/extra towel/water bottle, they take hours together & requires multiple calls. Supaporn Nammontree is not interested in running a resort, she appears to be careless and rude to customers. I would not prefer to visit here again because of the poor hospitality and pathetic service. I don’t recommend anyone to visit the resort, unless they want to be on the phone with the customer service all the time and in a bad mood.

We stayed in 2 garden view deluxe rooms. Lovely hill views. Spacious, very high quality rooms, 5*, with balconies; very quiet. Big comfortable beds, day couch next to window. Large clawfoot tub in big 5* bathroom that can be divided off or open plan by rolling panels, and a nice shower as well. Our daughter-in-law came with a not quite 2 year old, and he had fun. There is a great Kids Club with two staff and a rich assortment of toys. Our toddler did not want to leave it! Friendly shout-out to the Kids Club staff. Several big pools, one shallow kids pool Easy direct access to soft sand swimming beach without rocks. Very gradual beach made for great fun with water wave play with toddler. Very good breakfast buffet with lots of variety. Boom and Joy were especially helpful. The grounds are enormous, so the only minor negative is that it's a long walk to the pools and beach (but a pretty one). We'd stay here again. The in-house restaurant was very good, and there is a nice, casual, right on the sand local restaurant 'One Beach' next door. All the staff were Thai-friendly and helpful. Excellent value.

We have stayed at this hotel several times and were delighted to be able to go back after the pandemic. The hotel itself is still wonderful, but it is missing some staffing levels across the hotel which means it lacks some of the atmosphere of our previous visits. For example the bar only opens at the weekend and the restaurant near the pool on the beach also, so if you are there during the week (as we were), then your dining options are very limited within the hotel. That said, there are several restaurants along the beach which can look after you, but it seems a bit odd that the hotel would willingly give their dining business elsewhere? There is a lagoon pool bar at the bottom of one of the pools which wasn't open at all during our time there which was a shame also as it is such a lovely location, we couldn't help feel that the hotel was missing a trick? There is another pool bar which was open, but it was busy at times and didn't have any white wine for two days! The rooms are still wonderful and the view from the rooms is to die for, we just felt that it was still struggling post Covid and didn't have the same 'buzz' that it has had in previous years. When the bar was open, it is marvellously managed by Mam who is just amazing, along with her colleague Jeab who really go the extra mile to look after you. Also Beer in the breakfast hall is incredible - she recognised us from day 2 and makes all the difference to your breakfast experience. The breakfast spread is still plentiful so treat yourself to B&B and enjoy the choice!
