We’d heard good things about the Rayong Marriott Hotel from friends and colleagues and the reviews here and elsewhere on the web did dampen our excitement a bit. I booked directly with the hotel and the service was excellent. Our check in experience was also faultless, 10 minutes at most for our Ocean View Deluxe Room. The room had everything we needed for our 2 nights stay and was every spacious and comfortable. Dinner and breakfast was absolutely fine with a good selection of western and Asian cuisine options. No issues here. They staff were extremely attentive and we couldn’t have asked for more. They were really great. The pools are great and we spent both days in the pools and on the beach. COVID has hammered the tourism in the region and it’s only natural that some elements of the hotel have been mothballed and it does look a little bit dated in places. Considering the size of the hotel there was only about 80-100 guests so, sadly, it felt empty. On the whole, it was a great experience and we’ll be back!

Even though we got an upgrade room was in dire need of some TLC. Rest of hotel as well. The first comment my wife made when driving to the entrance was that it looked dirty. Restaurant C salt was the worst experience whith Long wait and lukewarm bad food. They claim to be a Marriott category 3 hotel but i dont think it should be more than 2. On google it is listed as 5 star hotel this must be google mixing it up with some other hotel. I am Titanium member and had to wait long time even after asking about elite checkin they just asked me to wait in line. checkout was same long wait. A vacation we hoped to have did not come through.

The hotel is situated in the strategic spot. With great scenic view. The hotel is rather old and in need of comprehensive renovations. The rooms have reached its maximum depreciation value and furniture repair are needed in the room. Towels is desperately in need of changing. Both pools are great for a family swim with 2 sliders. This place is good for family but not so much for couples or solo travellers. The breakfast is not at all up to the quality standard. I still can taste the cholrine from the water served. The bread are the quality of those of feeding the fish. The atmosphere of breakfast is similar to that of war zone. Things can be much improved here. I am still unsure whether this is a temporary standard because of the pandemic or it is the usual standard of the hotel. The latter may offer not much hope for the brand Mariott.

Unmaintained facilities, dirty pools, lazy and untrained staffs etc. I didn't expect such awful experience at 5 star hotel. Nothing worth than money except for the nature. Unbelievable experience. Never be here again.

Room lay out good but everything is dated, old stuff not being maintained. The corridor walls have patch work paint, didn't expect this of Marriott I would think that they are under staffed. Service was extremely bad. No one picks the phone not 0 not "At Your Service" my elderly mother fell in the bathroom, needed emergency help, she kept calling At your Service, no one picked up for an hour odd, luckily I randomly decided to check on her as she wasn't replying on whatsapp. In covid times the one of the waiters who was also making drinks kept licking his hand to taste the drink, the same guy was also serving food. The beach is very nice, the views from the room are great !!! No food available after 8.30 PM even room service they said last order 8.30. Only one restaurant operating for lunch and dinner. Kids play area is great !
