This hotel is a bit pricey but worth it. It has amazing charm to it. The history in this hotel and the surrounding areas leaves you in awe. I love this hotel, it's easy to get to, it's has a free breakfast, the lobby/bar/breakfast area is adorable. I LOVE the charm here. You have to check out the second floor....

Heart Heart back to you. Loved having you stay with us. The Second Floor has an art gallery and our meeting rooms that can do a 10 person executive meeting up to 100 people for a reception. The bar is located in "The Vault" which was Harry Culver's original walk-in safe that has been nicely converted. See you again Seth...

I'll echo the main theme of other comments: great location, good walking neighborhood and restaurant scene, lively bar scene in the hotel. We will undoubtedly stay there again. That said, service outside at the dining tables was very slow on a Saturday morning (yes, weddings were going on -- but if you have a service you have to support it)...

Mattress changed already. I am so sorry about that. Even with all the activity the service must be more prompt. I am reaching out to you to make amends. Thank you for staying with us. Seth Horowitz General Manager The Culver Hotel

I don't know what it is about this hotel, but it's simply perfect and my new favorite hotel in Los Angeles. Maybe it was the lovely people who we encountered there who are coloring my opinion, but I also like to think it's the elegant but understated rooms; fun location (Culver City is more Hollywood than Hollywood) near two studios...

Your review is also "JUST PERFECT!". Thank you. You are right, Culver City's slogan is "The Heart of Screenland". All the MGM pictures of the 1920's and 30's were filmed here (what is now the Sony Lot). The original "King Kong" and "Gone With The Wind" were filmed on the David O Selznick Studio's right next to the Hotel (what...

A lovely hotel in a very walkable area of Culver City. Excellent nearby restaurants, Sony Studios just down the street if you want to play tourist, and a three block walk to the light rail that can quickly move you to the Santa Monica pier or to downtown. Very helpful staff, a quiet room for such an urban setting, and...

The Expo Metro light rail is a wonderful addition to transportation on the Westside. Just opened from Culver City to Santa Monica, literally an 8 minute walk from the front of the hotel. We are a 10 minute ride to USC and then another 10 to Downtown Los Angeles. Seth GM

Diverted here by their sister hotel in Beverly Hills which had rejected us as they were over booked. Culver staff made us feel welcome & got us settled in, albeit after a bit of 'white lies' on behalf of their untrustworthy colleagues. Culver hotel was lovely. Full of period features & character - especially the bar where live music fuelled...

Sorry about the circumstances of discovering us, but very glad you did. Downtown Culver City has become a great destination, but Beverly Hills offers something different. We will not let you down again. Thanks for the lovely review. Seth GM

My hubby and I stayed here for a few days last week and enjoyed our visit. A very nice continental breakfast was included in the room rate (the restaurant is reviewed in a separate review). The valet guys were particularly helpful and the valet parking is right on site. It took no time to get our car when needed. Each...

I asked for poached eggs, rather than fried, with my avocado toast breakfast and was met with a bemused glance. "It will be too wet, sir". It'll be fine, I said. It came. It was delicious. Next day they informed me the manager was going to change the menu. You're welcome!

The Culver Hotel was built in 1919. They have kept all the old style and grace but gave this hotel a hip vibe. The place is packed at happy hour. Seating is in the lobby and an outdoor patio. They also have an upstairs lounge. Workers are friendly and down to earth. Would recommend a visit or stay.By the way,...

Loved how you encapsulated the vibe so nicely. You do have the choice of the Jazz Band music in the Grand Lobby, the cool outdoors on our patio (overlooking a town plaza with no traffic) or the funky Velvet Lounge (our speakeasy). Seth GM

We had a very nice 2 night stay at the Culver Hotel. We were on the 5th floor which was quiet in that we didn't hear any activity from the bustling scene on the ground floor. We did hear some outdoor noise which surprised me, perhaps the windows aren't that thick. Our room was small but nice. The bed was...

We do appreciate your thoughtful review. Yes, the $12 per night self parking option is something we should make clearer to our guests. It is convenient, in the City lots just across the street from the hotel. Looking forward to your return. Seth Horowitz General Manager The Culver Hotel

Remarkable and beautifully kept building. So grand and old and romantic. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience of the evening. The soft jazz band playing in the bar was gorgeous. I would and have recommend this to several good friends that I know will love and appreciate this old feeling of past romantic classy times! Please never change!
