First , hotels/inns in SF are extremely expensive and to experience San Francisco to the fullest we skipped on the accommodations The only upsetting is that we are here during an Indian Summer and there is no air conditioning Not looking forward to the continental breakfast that is so standard , but it is a breakfast . Again it is... More

Bed was a bit hard. Attepted to have a nap in the afternoon but couldn't due to the intense heat in the room and with no aircon was no way to escape it but to go out. Was told there would always be a park but when returning from a day out there were no parks and reception was closed... More

Many reviews call this place affordable which, given the proximity to San Francisco, it is. If this Inn was anywhere else you would think it to be way overpriced for what you get. When you first pull up you need to get through a buzzed security gate to get into the lobby, your first indication that this isn't the best... More

I stayed here a couple weeks ago. For what it is, the El Camino is great. Now mind you, it's a buzz-you-in-in-the-evening place. However, I have stayed at much more expensive properties that were noisier. People came and went quietly at the El Camino, and I had a peaceful evening. The front desk person was exceptionally friendly. You can cobble... More

Inn is located a few blocks from BART station, certainly within walking distance. Area immediately around station seems to be undergoing regentrification, but kind of creepy to walk around area at night. Walgreens and a mom & pop Mexican restaurant nearby but not many other restaurants within walking distance. Motel room was very retro, needed some serious updates, but was... More

Great little hotel. Very quiet at night. The queen room was perfect for my oldest daughter and I. Had no trouble finding a parking. We stayed on the lower level. The room was a little stuffy at night and I was hesitant to leave a window open cause we were on the very end closest to the side street. The... More

We were quite apprehensive booking El Camino, but could not find better location for the price we could pay. On arrival we found it so much better than some of the reviews indicated. The location was handy to BART and buses (and bus drivers incredibly helpful to the pair of hapless tourists). The new managers are a young couple who... More

Solo traveler. For what it's worth: Some may be put off by the appearance of the neighborhood. Had no problems walking back from BART station at 11pm/Midnight. Ppl I passed in area were friendly. Pros: Very cheap for Bay Area lodging. Couple blocks from BART station for access to San Fran and airport. Clean room, tv, mini fridge. Wi-fi. Con:... More

There are 2 things make me dissapointed. First, I couldn't storege my baggage before i checked in this hotel, although they said "we can storege baggage before you check in" when I asked them by phone two weeks ago. The blonde lady told me that storage space was already full, but I still found the empty space where the other... More

My husband and I stayed at the El Camino Inn for two nights (one night too long!) in September. We didn't want to spend too much money on a hotel when visiting San Francisco, especially that SF is ridiculously expensive! We found this motel and booked as was very cheap, but you get what you pay for. Everything was very... More
