I went there with my two kids and I found a really clean place and beautiful experience. The mineral bath were well maintained, the sauna always ready and the overall experience was excellent. The restaurant is ok, nothing fancy, prices are ok too. I will return in the future for more, is a really cool place.

Room rates are in the low hundreds, the rooms are straight out of the 50s. The property is not well maintained, rooms are sort of clean. Food in the restaurant is edible, think Dennys. The spas are fantastic. Stay in a nice hotel in the area and visit the spa.

We checked in, noticed how inadequate the place is, went out to dinner, came back and checked out. We did not stay. Everything in the room was old, broken, ill-maintained. A lightbulb was dangling from a lamp. The bed had two giant sags. Tape was holding a lightswitch together. Toilet had giant scratches on it. There is a security door...

Desert Hot Springs Spa Hotel is a family-owned business and a historic landmark. The Spa dates back to 1964 and the mineral water has provided therapeutic healing for countless travelers. not relaxing or spa like in the slightest. The only good thing I can say is the attached vintage restaurant is cute, the waitresses are nice, food good. Otherwise its in need of a serious overhaul! Like with a wrecking ball.

I spent a lovely morning at the hotel waiting for a Spa appointment. The Spa visit was nice and the time around the pools was very enjoyable. there are a num ber of pools using the Hot Water from the springs around the town of Desert Hot Springs. Each pool is a different temperature. I also had a nice lunch...

Disappointed except for the Mineral water swimming pool. The room is dirty . The coffee maker doesn't function . The telephone doesn't function ( it has dial tone but the front desk can't hear me ). There's no towels in the room, we have to walk down to the lobby to pick up the towels. And per front desk Claudia...

Had not been to Desert Hot Springs in about 30 years and never stayed in the hotel when I did go. It was truly an experience. Yes, it had 1950...truly mid century modern...written all over it, including the gold splashed laminate in the showers. But, all in all, well worth the money. The pools are open 24/7 to the folks...

Yes, it's dated, but sooo relaxing! Just appreciate the 60's vibe. I did get swimming pool rash but that was just me, my friend didn't get it. I would still go back. Next time I might stay over so I can go in the pools in the evening.

Rooms: Expect clean glorified motel (not hotel) room. We came with our 2 small dogs so we were downgraded to the pet friendly room. But from what I could tell all rooms were motel-ish and outdated. We were not charged for our pups, which was a welcomed surprise. Grounds/Amenities: Well kept historical/mid century (i.e., OLD and worn) property with 8...

Some visitors have the perception of our hotel being 'out-dated' while others consider it a 'beloved landmark'. Taking the waters at DHS Spa is a much revered tradition that has been preserved since the 1960s. We have embraced modern innovations such as wireless internet and satellite television, and are continually rejuvenating the guest rooms and public spaces. We are pleased...

It is a very bad, old fashioned hotel. Its only redeeming fact is the Olympic size swimming pool. The staff was very rood to us; the cafeteria served bad and unhealthy greasy food. Our room was dirty and smelled!

We are happy to read that you enjoyed the benefits of the healing mineral waters. Desert Hot Springs Spa Hotel is a historical landmark.
