My girlfriend and I spent New Year’s Eve at the Desert Hot Springs Inn, and it was great. We had originally booked an Airbnb near Joshua Tree, but it was canceled due to San Bernardino’s COVID restrictions. Fortunately we were able to book a room at the Inn so we could still spend NYE hiking Joshua Tree. The place is very intimate, having less than 10 total rooms. The pool and hot tub were both open and well-maintained, and honestly were my favorite part about our stay. According to John, the innkeeper and a very nice guy, the spa and pool are both fed by local hot and cold spring water. Since there were only a handful of other people staying there, we were able to use the spa area by ourselves when others weren’t, & not worry too much about Corona spread. There was a community kitchen, which was unique & pretty cool, and we used the fridge to store some food and the dishes and dining table to eat a couple of meals. Guests were pretty good about wearing masks in communal areas, and the inn staff were wearing masks whenever I saw them. The community kitchen opens up to a small dog park, where my girlfriend’s pooch was able to get all the sniffs and do his business. The Inn is super dog friendly, and apparently doesn’t have any breed restrictions, either...which, as a pit bull owner, I think is absolutely great! The room was cozy and had amazing views of San Jacinto mountain, and was just right for our needs! My only beefs were that the hot water in the room wasn’t working well when we tried to shower, and the Wi-Fi wasn’t super powerful. Otherwise, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Desert Hot Springs Inn, and will definitely be back with a doggy again!…
This is a pet friendly inn. The rooms are decorative in retro design. I love the kitchen in the main receptin area that you can use to cook a meal entertain iwith guests in the area watch the huge sreeen tv or go outside to the courtyard and take a breath taking view of the city and take your four legged guest potty in a fenced enclosure. If you do not stay at this location you definitely are missing a genuine enjoyable stay at very reasonable rates.
What a lovely place in the desert. Rooms were super comfy. Pool is fed by a hot spring and is warm and inviting. Grounds are really pretty and everyone is friendly. Very laid back and super dog friendly. Thank you for creating this wonderful place. We will be back
We thoroughly enjoyed the spacious, comfortable room. The fresh spring water jacuzzi was awesome! All the staff were welcoming and friendly. Located perfectly for a tour at the Cabot Pueblo museum and a day at Joshua Tree. Just the getaway we needed!
I really enjoyed my stay here, and my dog did too. Nice gravel area in the back for dogs to roam and several sitting areas for their people. The small property with spacious rooms was very comfortable as was the pool and hot tub. We will be back.
