We have stayed in several larger name brand hotels in Palm Springs and surrounding areas but, a few years ago we decided we prefer the smaller boutique hotels. On our third visit to Desert Hot Springs we stayed at El Morocco Inn & Spa on our anniversary. Don't let the drive through the older un-attractive city fool you. El Morocco...

Driving up 4th Street you have no idea what lies behind the door to the El Morocco Inn....amazingly, Bruce has created an absolute fantasy world...Morocco right there in the Desert Hot Springs! 'Your wish is his every command' and he is a brilliant host...knows all the hikes in the area, places to eat, movies to watch from his generous selection,...

We spent Valentine's weekend at the El Morocco. We arrived (after the front desk closed) to a beautiful room, a load of DVDs next to the TV, and a vase for my roses. We spent most of the weekend chillin' in or by the 90 degree pool and jacuzzi, sipping Morocco-tinis, and chatting with our warm and friendly hosts. Loved...

This is a very romantic, intimate, boutique hotel. There are so many things we loved - the warm pool, the huge jacuzzi, the attention to detail, Bruce and John (the most wonderful and entertaining hosts), the wonderful daily breakfast, drinking Moroccan mint tea all afternoon, the not-to-be-missed-for-any-reason happy hour, Morocco-tinis, watching Casablanca in the library, the soft robes, the fireplaces,...

We booked our 2 night stay after reading the great reviews on TripAdvisor. Hard to believe but it's all true. Bruce and Steve are wonderful hosts, providing a unique environment that is welcoming without being obtrusive. Running late after taking a wrong turn, we called Bruce to guide us in. As we drove up, there he was at the front...

My husband and I stayed at the El Morocco in January 2010. The hotel was clean, peaceful, beautiful and relaxing. The hotel owners and staff were extremely friendly and genuinely wanted us to have a pleasant stay. Their recommendations for restaurants and attractions were helpful. I would not hesitate to stay here again or to recommend this hotel to others.

All we wanted for our anniversary was a spot with a nice bed and a professional masseuse. We discovered even more at El Morocco. Hospitality is an understatement. It feels like you are at a friend's house, that happens to have a REALLY plush pad. They take care of everything! We didn't have to leave, until we had to sadly...

The word for the weekend was "lovely"...and it all started with the hand-washing ceremony. For some reason it sounds funny to hear the word coming from a 250 lb. firefighter but that was how he described the rose-water handwashing that preceded each evening's Morocco-tini happy hour. We were both in awe at how easily it was to leave our regular...

My wife read the abundant rave reviews for this inn on Trip Advisor and brought me here for my birthday weekend last year. Since then we've booked three more weekends, including her birthday, and have been blown away every time by the warm, courteous, and (hilariously) entertaining hosts Bruce, John, and Steve—also Nicoleta, but she's since moved on; we'll miss...

Wow, from the outside you have no clue what to expect, but when you enter the hotel, it's an entirely different world. this is by far the most beautiful theme B&B i have ever seen. Hospitality and Service are top notch. The way the owner, Bruce deals with people is amazing. The rest of the crew is also great. The...
