We had a fantastic time here at the Lure Resort for a quick weekend escape. My wife and I can't thank them enough for making our trip wonderful. The resort and cabins are right alongside the N. Yuba River and how cute they are! The log furniture and bed were terrific with views that were inspiring. Sleeping to the sounds...

Have been going to the North Fork of the Yuba River for over 40 years. We always pass up the Lure Resort on our way to the Sierra Buttes and the Lake Basin. We rented one of the new cabins. Beautiful A frame with floor to ceiling windows, deck, webber, fully stocked--I mean stocked. It had a queen size bed...

Huge disappointment! We have stayed at The Lure in the past and had no complaints. However, this year was terrible. I did try to speak with the office when we were there...no one ever answered the doorbell. To be fair I did contact the proprietor after our stay to voice my concern and complaints over our cottage. They did not...

First impressions: The property runs along the river, across a private bridge. The scenery is gorgeous and the sound of the river rushing by is lovely. The office is shabby and smells terrible. Across from the office there’s a beautiful, shaded grassy area with chairs looking over the river. As you drive to your cabin, you pass one unit that...

We've been coming here for many years. Usually we spend an entire week. Privacy is good; they allow dogs for a small fee; location is very nice on the North Fork Yuba. Reasons I did not rate this a 5 star: 1) it is right across from Hwy 49, so when you are lounging at the river, cars are driving...

We just loved it. The camping cabins are snug for 2 couples but a family of 4 it would be perfect. Affordable too! I am definately going to be coming back again. Maybe a bunch of couples to rent the entire riverfront of camping cabins. The town is so close too. Gorgeous!

This is a review of the full cabins NOT the camping cabins. We've been coming up to Lure for years and we love it here. On our recent trip we stayed in White Bear the largest of the cabins right on the lawn with a long deck facing the river. We could get wifi from the office from here which...

We have stayed at the Lure Resort for the past 10 years. The location is great for playing on the river. The past two years we have noticed the lack of maintenance and the run down facilities. The rates have crept up, and the charge for a camping cabin, (no electricity) and showers and toilets across the road, has crept up...

My first comment is to people who expect 5 star accommodations in a rural community...this is not Trump Tower nor are you in New York City. So please pack accordingly as you are in the woods! We have stayed many times at The Lure both with and without our kids. We go to Downieville to get away from crazy busy...

I have traveled the world first class and I have to say this is one of my favorite spots to stay. The "Rose" cabin has been maintained as it was meant to be, "a real cabin." No frills to take away or compromise the absolutely magnificent natural beauty of this area. The cabin is so sweet and clean. We were...

“The new cabins are beautiful, well appointed, and some with gardens. Cannot build a fire at new cabins. The older cabins are "very basic" and hot during the summer. Nice if you want to rough it. Can build a fire as pits provided.”
