Walked in and felt I was home. Cozy but large room. Everything was in perfect order. Quiet. Beautiful trees and shrubs outside. In the heart of winter so pool and hot tub were not working. On the river---can hear river sounds from some of the rooms. Cabins are available in the summer. Pleasant staff. Very clean. Look forward to another...

The rooms are clean and the staff are helpful. I stopped here by chance and it was a good find. It's close to I-5 and the price was right. The mattress was very good and the room was quite enough for a goodnight's sleep.

Happened upon this extraordinary spot with a choice between rustic cabins built in 1923 or a motel. We got a cabin, and it was darling with a small kitchen and clawfoot tub. Pool and spa-awesome. It aS nestled in the tall trees next to a beautiful botanical garden. We sure wanted to stay more than one night especially as it...

One of a kind! This was the most relaxing place we stayed in California. Retro, rustic and interesting. As the Cave Springs resort makes clear, the cabins have not been modernised but for the huge fridge on the back door landing. No air con, just a fan. Most of the windows opened. Good shower, nice soaps. No sink plugs in...

Great little rustic cabin above the river. Basic with no frills but clean and comfortable. The friendliest innkeepers west of the Mississippi! Dunsmuir is a great little town with lots of charm and character.

We loved this place. We stayed in the "rustic cabins" and it was like being transported to a different time. We enjoyed the tiny kitchen with gas stove, cast iron skillet, and percolator coffee pot. Having a full size fridge to ourselves and both a table inside and a table outside overlooking the river and Mt Shasta made self catering...

This is a perfect little resort, especially if you are traveling in a large group with young kids. The cabins are RUSTIC. Lovely little cute basic cabins build probably in 1920s. Lovely then, but upkeep has not been great, tarps over roofs, buckled ceilings from water damage, and such. But, really, all part of the charm. Rooms are basically clean....

passing by, the shaded pool looked so inviting, we stopped to get information for a future trip. The receptionist was very friendly and let us see a room. Very comfortable old style motel room. The grounds are lovely with views of the river from the modest cabins. Lots of trees and shade. Seems like a great place to relax.

The uniqueness of this place is its variety. You have the option of charming 100 year old cabins to choose from, a modern, comfortable hotel room, or a collection of modular homes for a longer stay here in the mountains in the middle of winter or for a summer outdoor experience! I grew up in Dunsmuir and Cave Springs has...

This place has it all - charm, scenery, choice of rooms, wonderful staff, nearby attractions. This is a very charming place. The cabins are rustic-cute. Situated on the upper Sacramento River, our cabin had a deck over looking the river with Mt. Shasta so close you felt like you could reach out and touch it. We were given the choice...
