I paid approx £190 for one night here in July 2017 (basic room). Check in was painfully long due to a long queue.
This was a clean, tidy and friendly looking hotel, near to the park entrance. Near by was a gas station and a...More
hi quiet handy for Yosemite national park but is outside the entrance. the buildings are from the 1960;s and some appear to have the same décor from that period. somewhat tired but comfortable sleep which may have something to do with late arrival. I syaed...More
We stayed here for 2 nights able to check in before "official" time, we're asked preference of floor level which was good. We got the Maple block 3rd floor, lift a little slow and tired but definitely needed to get the luggage to the room....More
Great location - BUT, not in Yosemite Valley as we were told we would be. So if you come here without a car, you must catch the YARTS bus to get into the park. The reception staff is in serious need of some customer service...More
I think the reviews here are pretty harsh. This place is fine, don't be afraid to stay here. Yes of course you are paying for location (which is about as good as it gets outside the park).

Hi there. We took the YARTS bus from Mariposa to the park at 6:15 am and there was absolutely no wait to get into the park. I don't think there was a separate bus lane, just good timing! The buses are wonderful! Very comfortable! Unfortunately, while we were at the park, the town of Mariposa was evacuated due to wildfire and the buses stopped running there. That is how we ended up at the Yosemite View Lodge...with no power! Such an adventure! Be prepared!! On the bus ride back to the lodge, we did sit in a ton of traffic. So, I think if you time it right...get there early in the morning and leave at 3 or 4, you should be fine either driving your own vehicle or taking the bus! Have a wonderful trip!
