The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, everyone went out of their way to make sure our stay was comfortable. I think they will remember us, because we lost our car keys and spent an entire day looking for them, we pretty much had the whole town searching for us (we eventually found them, hidden by our 2 year old... We were on a mini-road trip driving south on the Shoreline Highway and on the advice of a friend in San Francisco booked a one night stay. We were not disappointed, all the creature comforts were at our disposal. We were fortunate to be in one of the 3 cottages with an ocean view, no complaints! Breakfast delivered to the... More

We found this place just driving down the coast highway. These are small, old cabins but have been updated and are cozy, warm and comfortable. Like others have said get one of the 3 ocean front cabins with decks right on the cliff edge overlooking the ocean. The other cabins are cute but have no view. And this view from... More

Stayed in the ocean view Greenwood cottage! The view was better than we imagined!! The cottage was quaint and comfortable with nice bedding and a gas stove ! The breakfast delivered to our room was really quite tasty! Loved not having to get up and go out for breakfast, it comes to you!! The only thing that was not great,... More

A year ago I convinced my fiancee to join me on a trip to Elk. Funny enough, my great uncle, Bart Burke, is buried in the Cuffey's Cove cemetery. I'd never been to Elk but I'd heard that it was well worth a trip. I was totally satisfied with my trip to Griffin House Inn. The facilities are a bit... More

The Griffin House is the perfect place to relax and unwind. Our cottage looked like it belonged on the pages of a catalog. It was so beautiful! Breakfast was fantastic! First they delivered coffee and tea to our room, then a half hour later they brought the most delicious breakfast I have ever had! We wished we could stay longer... More

This was a cute property in the past and some of the cottages have stunning views. But it has become very dilapidated. The deck on the edge of the cliff shuddered with the breeze (not a windy day), and everything was crumbling inside the room, the surrounding gardens were once nice, but are now unkempt, weedy, with broken walkways, and... Its a really nice B&B. I looked at the pictures before going but what I saw was beyond my imagination. The ocean view rooms are gorgeous. Its worth paying extra for these rooms as the view and the wooden porch is totally worth it. The pub and restaurant also serves really good food. I had the clam chowder and the... More

We stayed 2 nights at The Griffin Inn in Elk, CA. We stayed in the Greenwood Cottage and our deck overlooked the ocean. Fantastic view!!! The cottage was quite nice, very large and comfortable. Our breakfast was brought to our room and was delicious. Elk is a just a very small town on the coast, not much there, but this... More
