This met our needs perfectly for one night. If you like luxury suites, it is not for you. A very pleasant rustic cabin in a beautiful setting with yes, linoleum type floors. We had cabin #5, right on the river, with a queen bed off the kitchen/living room, and two twin beds in the entry room. We brought a frying...

We stayed one night on a weekend get-away and loved it. My boyfriend and I generally camp, but to simplify the trip and not have to deal with the cold weather, we decided to try out Fern River Resort and we were very pleased. The accommodations are not high-class, but neither are the prices, so we weren't expecting 4-star luxury....

Located in Felton, CA, the Fern River Resort Motel looked like the perfect getaway for our family of five. When we arrived, the grounds looked charmingly well-kept and I was delighted with the river rushing just off the deck of our cabin. Since we have more than 4 in our party, we were limited to one of the newer duplex...

Great locationand property, darling cabins facing the river below, but the cabins need updating, especially the floors. 1950-60ish floor (yellow!) throughout - the owners need to either put in laminate to update (or better yet a commercial grade carpet to warm it up and laminate in kitchen/bath). It was hot and a ceiling fan would have been helpful. The windows...

My wife decided that I needed a break from my research writing and made advance reservations at a resort in the Redwoods of the Santa Cruz Mountains. The drive from a very hot 90 degree San Jose to the Fern River Resort took all of 20 minutes and the temperature was only 70 degrees. Ahh! We passed through three mountain...

We stayed at the Fern River Resort for 4 nights while doing an event at Roaring Camp Railroad in Felton. Roaring Camp is located directly across the river and the location looked convenient. We booked cabin #1, which is listed as a studio. Much to our surprise, the photos did not do our particular cabin any justice! We found our...

We didn't stay overnight; we visited friends there who were staying for a few days. What a lovely, quiet, retreat! We'd never heard of this place before, but when we're looking for a weekend getaway it will be at the top of our list. We spent a leisurely day with our friends, went to the redwoods state park, sat on...

A beautiful quiet retreat. We loved the rustic rooms in the middle of beautiful scenery. What a delightful surprise that the rooms came with a full sized refrigerator, microwave oven and even a toaster.

Arrived at check in time and room was waiting. The cabin was great, large room with two beds and kitchenette. The bathroom was very large and look brand new. The bathroom tile floor was very cold but the room had it's own heater, so that helped. Our cabin was by the road, but it was still super quiet. The view...

This is a wonderful place to relax. My boyfriend and I go whenever we get the chance to get away. Another thing we really love about Fern River is how clean it is. The grounds and the cabins are spotless!
