We had a very nice vacation at Tenaya ... but the walls are very thin - lots of hall and neighbor noise - and the toilet/shower room has a barn door that doesn't close all the way. Additionally, we brought our dog ... only to be told that we had to pay an additional charge for doggy daycare when we went for meals, and then on our last day we discovered that one of the restaurants does allow dogs in their outdoor patio. They seemed to have a LOT of new help (which is great because that means they're building back from the pandemic) that gave us a lot of misinformation.

Hotel's Favourite
Absolutely loved staying in Tenaya lodge in august. Loved the food, location and the rooms . The pool was a bonus after spending a day exploring the NP. The BBQ buffet was a nice touch. Would 100% stay here again given the short drive to Yosemite nation park. The national park itself was incredible

This is a beautiful lodge. The staff is very gracious and accommodating. Everything was great until there was no hot water to our room on Saturday morning. I feel like this is an ongoing issue as I heard a maintenance person telling another guest that he had “fixed” the hot water to their room the day before.

We went for Thanksgiving, had the buffet and it was delicious. So many choices and it all tasted really good. The indoor swimming pool is a must along with the ice rink. Great for families and dog friendly!

We took a family vacation right before Thanksgiving. The lodge is very nice, staff were all wonderful, the concierge keeps in regular contact with you, any questions that came up they would respond to my texts immediately. It was somewhat of the off season so they really only had the restaurant Jackolopes open, but it was delicious food and excellent service. Our children loved the large indoor pool with a free adjacent game room. There is also hot tubs for the parents to relax and to top it off they have a family friendly movie at the pool every night. I would also highly recommend the 360 tour of Yosemite that they can book for you through the lodge. Archery was so fun, and staff assisting was wonderful with children. We stayed in the cabins which were very nice and spacious, they are a little ways away from the main resort, so quite and relaxing but we would need to drive back and forth to all the activities at the main lodge. Lastly my husband and I both had amazing messages at the spa. Overall wonderful, and of course it being located so close to Yosemite is just an extra bonus, Yosemite was stunning in fall, the leaves changing colors and topped with snow was amazing.

Nini and the staff at the Tenaya Lodge saved the day! We were caught in the years first snow storm in Mariposa Groves and had to drive out of Yosemite where we were camping. The staff handled all the stress like ER Staff. Accommodated our needs and made us feel at home in a stressful situation! Thanks Nini and Tenaya Lodge!

Where do we begin? Oh I know, upon entering the lodge the pups were welcome up their own stairs to the front desk for their dog bones and welcome package. We stayed in one of the cabins, which I highly recommend, and felt welcome from the moment we arrived. Later that day we found gifts of a dog bed, dog, bowl, doggies bags and more treats. We were welcome to dine with our pups inside or out for every meal. They were welcomed in the lodge our our puppy actually wined when we had to leave the lobby for dinner because so many people were paying attention to him. And the cherry on the cake? They have pup sitting! Yosemite is stunning and there are lots of paved trails, but the idea that you can leave your pups in good hands while you hike, or go to the pool or enjoy the spa is just amazing! We cannot imagine what else they could have done to make us feel so welcome and part of their family! This will be our only dog friendly destination hotel in Yosemite for a very long time!

This was a wonderful stop after a long day of hiking in the valley. It was so nice to have a four star experience before we headed back into the park to see the Mariposa Grove the following morning. We really liked the on-site restaurant and bathrobes. My husband appreciated the Peleton bikes in the exercise room. I wished we could have stayed longer and enjoyed the property and activities but the trees were calling us. We forgot to take advantage of the take-out store for our lunch the next day, the Fishtown General Store came through with fantastic sub sandwiches. All in all, this overnight was a great little addition to our Yosemite adventure.

We stayed in one of the Family Explorer Cabins two weekends ago. The cabin was comfortable with two bedrooms, one with a bunk bed and the "Master" with a King Bed. The living area has a kitchenette with a refrigerator, microwave, and a Keurig coffee maker but no cooktop. Each bedroom and the living room had a TV! The area ambience was fine, cabins are clustered a few here, few there. Parking is relatively close to the cabin with concrete walkways from parking to cabins. There are two large gas fire pits, large enough that long sticks are needed and provided in order to make Smores (smores kits provided as well). We stayed on a weekend where the nightime temps were in the low 30's right around freezing. The heating in the cabins are a heat pump split system, which might work well in warmer weather but was just noisy and ineffective at best. The outside heat pump unit is mounted to the outside wall where the king bed is. Not only was the heating non-existent but the entire wall vibrated and buzzed on and off all night. If you stay in the Explorer cabins during cold weather, be prepared to sleep in your down jacket!

My wife & I shared 2 wonderful days for her birthday at Tenaya Lodge, Room 303. Excellent place to visit Yosemite National Park, 2 miles from the South Entrance. The staff are excellent & have to mention 2 names in particular Mimi(Yasmin) at reception & Dominique at Spa who went above beyond. Thank you so much.
