Hotel room is big and spacious. Buffet breakfast was ok. All other attraction surrounding the hotel was boring (at least for me). Kids' games and arcades were looking old. Food is very expensive. Honestly there's nothing much to do here if you stay more than 1 night.

Design of buildings are replica of the Colmar. Buildings are unique and worth a touring. Rather quiet in the middle of the Bukit Tinggi, surrounded by trees and mountains. If you like quiet environment and not so happening, worth a stay of 2-3 days. You could also venturing into nearby places within the Bukit Tinggi compound.

I really love the Japanese Garden!! Managed to wear the Kimono!! Me and my bff are really excited with this place and environment. We spent our time riding horse, play with the rabbits and etc. This place is really relaxing place to release tension and good location as well. This is a resort, built in "old French architecture" style. Very beautiful, colorful and a very good location for taking stunning photos. The village is located in a huge theme park which has many other attractions as well: Japanese Garden, Zoo, Carting,... . We did not stay at the hotel but we walked in the village and took photos for... More

We went recently to try and get a break from the haze. About a 50 minute trip from KL [less if you are Ampang side]. Bukit Tinggi is certainly a quick way to get some fresher air- we particularly enjoyed the Japanese garden and the botanic garden [ both a short uphill drive and walk from Colmar Tropicale]. Although we... More

We did not spend any time in resort rooms, but we have been taken to see the resort. I like the resort, it has beautiful nature, beautiful buildings. And we were lucky to get there just in dance show time, which was interesting too. I think this is a must to see if you are in KL.

We stayed here one night. The resort is inspired by Europe's architecture. It looks ok in general. But it is quite old and not well maintained. Our room is huge but not as pretty as it looks in the website. There are just a few restaurants inside the resort and the food is not delicious at all. However, the resort... More

Horrid. The place is tacky, run down, dirty, smelly, dog/cat poo in stair wells, very noisy all day until late at night. Poor food, poor service, kept waiting at reception for half an hour to check in, despite having arrived by motorbike in torrential rain and being sodden through

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Colmar Tropicale was modeled after 16th century Colmar town, north east of Alsace, France, also incorporatingarchitectural designs and elements from ancient surrounding villages of Riquewihr, Turckheim and Kaysersberg. The realization of this French themed village derived from the wish list of the Malaysia's fourth Prime Minister, Tun Dr. Mahathir bin Mohamad, who upon his visit to the region of Alsace were so impressed, that it inspired Tan Sri Vincent Tan, the founder of Berjaya Corporation Berhad to replicate the actual Colmar town in Malaysia. The resort comprised of 235 rooms and suites, offers 8 food & beverage outlets / lounges with food variety ranging from local & international cuisine to an authentic French fine dining restaurant. It also offers meeting rooms and banqueting facilities. ... more   less
