Perfect location. Walking distance to glass beach. Awesome waves. We'll be back. So glad we picked this location. Rooms are very good and reasonably priced. Well worth the drive from Orange County, CA. Wish we could stay longer. Early morning walks to the beaches are outstanding.

Driving through the south end of Fort Bragg during the day with businesses and lodging near the road, it doesn't seem like a peaceful place to spend the night. But, when you get to the north end of town and the Surf and Sand Lodge, you find a lovely haven, a view of the rugged coast and powerful Pacific. You...

The staff was really helpful with information and always pleasant. It made the stay very nice. The breakfast was not convenient. You had to walk down to the next hotel to get it. We chose to eat elsewhere.

The hotel is newly remodeled. Pretty clean throughout, linen and towels are clean and smells good. Ocean front view. Price is reasonable. The only incident we had was there was squirrel droppings at one corner of the room. They cleaned it after we reported it. They probably don't clean the corners of the room at all.

I did a weekend trip to this place with my wife and 4 year old. I booked a twin queen bed suite with sea view in the second floor and the view from the room was absolutely stunning. I could see 180 degree view of the sea that's so mesmerizing that I could just stand and watch the pacific ocean...

The water is actually quite a ways away but you are able to hear the waves, if not very loudly, and see them from the balcony. We had an upstairs king with jacuzzi tub. Nice room, nicely updated and decorated. Very basic breakfast at the property next door, a quick walk down the trail that runs behind the properties. Good...

We were fortunate enough to get a room over the long holiday weekend and downstairs, which we prefer, except for the party upstairs, who ran around like they were being chased.
