Really like the small town location. Staff was very friendly, and accommodating. Being on the main road thru town was a little noisy, but was also fun watching traffic (big logging trucks) pass by while sitting on the 2nd floor balcony. Would have been nice if the rooms included coffee.

we were a party of 6 adults on a road trip. We stayed 3 nights here and it was a great place to relax for a bit in our busy schedule. We were able to do our washing, make meals and enjoy the little town of Groveland and all it had to offer in the way of eateries & shopping....

Lovely, knowledgeable staff at check in. Rooms were clean, but very small and uninteresting. Beds were fine. Dinner at the Fork and Love was definitely the highlight. The chef made creative use of local ingredients, and the dishes were beautifully presented. Fair prices, as well. Unfortunately, the anticipated breakfast disappointed to say the least. The old, hard cooked eggs were...

We enjoyed our stay, but most shops in Groveland are closed Tuesday & Wednesday so there's VERY little to do there. We did enjoy the museum, just a few minutes walk away, and Sierra Sage was interesting. About a 90 minute drive to Yosemite Valley, which was very congested! Suggest you take the Yurt bus to the valley, then use...

As we were unable to find any accommodation within Yosemite itself we opted for some place within reasonable proximity to the park. This is the quaintest little motel around with rooms and an atmosphere that rival the by gone era. The rooms are small but one needs to remember this is the same motel that stood almost 100 years ago....

The hotel is very well run. The bed was great and the room was quiet in the rear of the hotel. The town of Groveland is well located for going into Yosemite National Park. The hotel has breakfast and it has a restaurant and a bar. They serve some interesting Gold Country wines.

We spent 4 nights at this hotel. There were both positive and negatives to our stay - let's do the positives first. Nice rooms, comfy beds and clean. Quite quiet. Our bath with shower over was in the bedroom, with toilet and sink in a separate en-suite bathroom (a bit odd!) The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Free...

This hotel is great. Old world charm. Originally built in 1921 & recently renovated. Honestly, the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. Super friendly staff. Low key & inviting. There was an actual key for the room.. A KEY! The town is cute with several options for restaurants/coffee etc. but there is a great restaurant attached to the...

What a beautiful little hotel. Everything you could need, Great staff and cosy rooms. I wish I could of stayed longer than one night. Ate at the Mexican restaurant which was good and had a drink in the iron door Saloon. The whole town was friendly. We will certainly visit again next time we come to America.

A more perfect BED & Breakfast/ Inn I count imagine. Everything from the hospitality, food, coffee, breakfast was all perfect. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The lobby is a great place to lounge talk and hang with your dogs! Yes , it's dog friendly! The town is adorable , the gateway to Yosemite. The ride is approx 30...

Come experience a wonderful escape at the Hotel Charlotte, located at the gateway to Yosemite. Enjoy the rustic quirks of a charming, historic boutique hotel coupled with a wonderfully inviting ambiance and stellar service that will leave you wanting more.At the Hotel Charlotte, you'll be welcomed by friendly, knowledgable staff who will help you settle in to one of our 10 hotel rooms or 6 guest houses. Whether you want to experience the natural wonders of the surrounding area and Yosemite, have a romantic getaway, or enjoy a stay in an authentic old west hotel, you will find what you are looking for at the Hotel Charlotte. The owners, Doug and Jenn Edwards, wanted to retain the gold rush feel of the hotel while at the same time modernizing and simplifying. The sage green walls, the throwback Edison lightbulbs, the oversized, brown velvet sofas - invite guests to step into a contemporary old west. The look of the hotel also carries into the adjoining restaurant, the Charlotte Bistro & Bar.
