ZERO stars as the room was uninhabitable due to the cigarette smoke that had drenched the room. Despite new ownership and supposed renovations the room I was given had such a strong smoke odor that we had to leave due to health concerns. No refund was given and I had to pay for a different place to sleep. False advertisement will lead you to believe that this hotel is better than previous bad reviews for the old owners. DO NOT be fooled into believing this. Also DO NOT be fooled into paying extra for a "Deluxe Room". You will be given a standard room that does not look anything like the photos on their website or Hotels com. Even if you can tolerate the smoke it is a cheap and old motel that is charging $400 a night. DO NOT let them rob you like they did me. I wasted $450 total on a room I couldn't sleep in and they refused to remedy the situation. HORRIBLE place, HORRIBLE price, HORRIBLE pwners…

Only one car in the parking lot was the first red flag. The room did have new windows and new floors so that was comforting. The mattress was hard and the bedding was probably 10 years old 🤮 There was a flood light shining in our window all night (since there was no alarm clock, I couldn’t tell if it was 2:00am or 8:00am). No blow dryer. Called down to see if we could get one and was told they don’t have one. I feel bad because the front desk lady was very nice but the place was awful.

I can't believe that this guys don't clean under tv beds, inside the microwave, chest drawers. We booked a room but it was a bad idea to get this hotel it looks like they don't do deep cleaning after each customer leaves, here are some pictures attached

I give it two stars because a night here is maybe better than a night in a tent. One star from me says “Camp, don’t stay here”. The shower was the nicest feature of the room as long as you ignore the mold imbedded in the shower curtain. Everything else in the room is old and worn. There is a mini fridge, mini microwave, flat screen tv. Free WiFi worked well. But I can’t imagine staying here for more than one night unless you are desperate and I wouldn’t pay more than $60/night.

Uh, yea, no. I was in a hurry and booked this. Although the room was big and clean, the price doesn't reflect the room status. There is a huge gap under the door and it's an old property. The correct price should be $69.

Within 5 minutes of checking in you can smell the mould and dirt. Don't bother asking the staff to help, they will always say the motel is full, despite x1 other vehicle being here. no refund, but hey, here's a bottle of ultra sized air fewshnes so you can drown in chemicals while you breathe in mould. it's not hard to get cleanliness right, and to reinvest small margins of income to maintenance... but this place does not seem to care. Also, it's literally surrounded by trash dumpsters and fences. drive on if you can.

Reasons We had a non-smoking room that you could tell had been smoked in. The dead bolt for door did not work had to put ice chest and luggage against door in hopes no one could come in the room. Window was hard to open not able to get alot of air in room. They do not have a/c just a box fan that is so loud hard to sleep. Blankets had cigarette burns in them,carpet was stained and barely vacuumed,dead roaches in dresser drawers. Bathroom shower had mold in it and the floor tile was dirty and under the sink where more tile should have been was a large concrete slab with dust all over it. No exhaust fan and the window wouldn't open,towels looked like they had never been washed. There was a chair you couldn't even sit in due to the digusting large stains on it. Mini refrigerator had not been defrosted and it was not clean. Microwave had dried food stuck to the sides. TV remote worked when it wanted too and there was no smoke alarm. Went down to front desk to tell them we wanted a different room but was told they were booked. Ask for charges to be reversed on my credit card so we could find another place to stay but they said we would still be charged for the room. Forget about any breakfast just coffee and pastries that you can buy at 7-11 and they don't serve this until 7:30. Had to bang on office door so we could check out and lady motioned me to side window I gave her the room keyes and when I ask for a printed receipt she was very rude. This place looks like it charges by the hour for other uses. Cost for this dump is way over priced cost us $233.00. If we had room in our truck we would have slept in it. The name should be changed to No Tell Roach Motel.…

I would not recommend the American Inn to any one at any price. I stayed in room 121. There are holes in wall that are poorly patched. The bathroom door is broken and has visual screws holding it together. There is a hole in the bathroom floor. The hot water is the cold and cold water is the hot. The shower doesn't spray, it works like a garden hose. There is mold above the shower. There is a chair that is so stained that I would not sit in it. The light switches are stained and dirty. There is no Pride of Ownership in this property. It is a shame that properties like this are allowed to be in business!

On our way from LA to San Francisco we had one stop. The motel is clumsy and disgusting. It's seems dirty and it's way over-priced. The value is about USD 40-50. The staff is wired. I am surprised that you can run a motel like that.

Booked on hotels.com and when I arrived they claimed they didn't have my reservation and tried to charge me again. Front desk attendant is an Indian, reeked of stupidity and curry, and took 40 minutes to get reservation straightened out. Then the room doesn't even have A/C and shower didn't work. Could've just camped for free, but no- paid for this ridiculous experience. Do NOT STAY HERE!
